The Original Cast Recording of SpongeBob SquarePants - The New Musical will be released September 22 by Masterworks Broadway. The CW presents its 2017-18 primetime schedule to advertisers, affiliates, and national media today at the New York City Center in New York City, with the multi-platinum, multi-Grammy Award-winning rock band Muse opening the show with the worldwide debut performance of their new single, "Dig Down."

Founding Executive Director Kathy Evans announced the 19 writers and 9 new musicals selected for development at this summer's Rhinebeck Writers Retreat. 

The Tank will present STREEPSHOW!, written by Jay Stull, and directed by Andrew Neisler. Part of The Tank's Save & Print series, STREEPSHOW! begins performances on Friday, June 2 for a limited engagement through Saturday, June 24.

Rhinebeck Writers Retreat is presenting the first reading of the new musical, BHANGIN' IT, book by Rehana Lew Mirza and Mike Lew and music and lyrics by Sam Willmott, on May 1 in New York City for an invited industry audience. The reading includes actors Shoba Narayan (Natasha Pierre & The Great Comet), Tony Sheldon (Amelie), Dan Rosales (Spamilton), Angel Desai (Company), and Salena Qureshi.  The reading is directed by David Ruttura (School of Rock) and music directed by James Dobinson (The View UpStairs).

Whisper House comprises some lovely songs beautifully sung, but lacks the narrative drive one expects in musical theatre.
