W New York - Times Square announced today the launch of Ultimate Encore, a short film written and directed by Alan Cumming, in celebration of the newly renovated Living Room, the brand's signature, see-and-be-seen spin on the hotel lobby. Through the film, Cumming captures the energetic and dramatic designs of the new space, while celebrating its location in the heart of Times Square. Ultimate Encore will also raise money and awareness for pet charity, Broadway Barks, with proceeds from the items featured in the film being donated to the great cause. On June 12, musical theater revue show BROADWAY AT THE W opens at The Loft at W Hollywood, formerly Drai's Hollywood. Broadway actors, dancers and producers from Tony-Award winning and fan-favorite shows including "South Pacific," "The Producers," "The Book of Mormon," "Motown the Musical" and "Les Miserables" have assembled the highest caliber of Los Angeles-based Broadway performers to offer Angelenos an intimate and heart-stopping taste of Broadway. Tickets start at $10. The show features a live band, rotating program and special celebrity guests. The producers intend to continue the show on a weekly basis at W Hollywood.

MOTOWN THE MUSICAL, the hit musical featuring the music of the legendary Motown catalogue and a book by Berry Gordy, ended its Broadway run yesterday, January 18 at the Lunt-Fontanne Theatre. MOTOWN is set to return to Broadway at a Nederlander theatre to be announced in July 2016. Last spring, the first National Tour of Motown the Musical opened to critical acclaim, grossing an impressive $20 Million dollars during a packed sixteen-week run, and is now heading to major markets across the US.
