ABC Family announces a red-hot summer line-up with the premiere of four new original series including reality competition series "Dancing Fools," family drama "The Fosters," mystery drama "Twisted" and docu-soap "The Vineyard."
Production commenced today in Studio City for the new ABC Family original series "Twisted," starring Avan Jogia, Maddie Hasson, Kylie Bunbury, Kimberly Quinn, Sam Robards, Ashton Moio and Denise Richards. Executive Producer Gavin Polone is directing the episode. "Twisted" premieres on ABC Family on Tuesday, June 11th, at 9:00 p.m. ET/PT.
ABC Family presents a must-see night of television for fans of mystery drama, including the Season 3 Finale of the ABC Family hit original series "Pretty Little Liars," followed by a one-time-only sneak peek of the full first episode of "Twisted," the new scripted one-hour drama series in advance of its official summer premiere.
Michael Riley, president, ABC Family, today announced the pick-up of two, one-hour drama pilots, 'The Fosters,' from executive producer Jennifer Lopez, and 'Twisted' (formerly 'Socio') from executive producer Gavin Polone. Production on both series will begin this spring for summer premieres. Additional pick-ups will be announced later this month.
BC Family begins production today on the drama series pilot "Socio," starring Avan Jogia ("Victorious), Maddie Hasson ("The Finder"), Kylie Bunbury ("Prom"), Kimberly Quinn ("Terriers") and Denise Richards ("Two and a Half Men"). Also recently cast in the project is Sam Robards ("Treme," "Gossip Girl"). Kathy Najimy ("Make it or Break It") and Grey Damon ("The Nine Lives of Chloe King") have also been cast as guest stars.
ABC Family has cast Denise Richards ("Madea's Witness Protection," "Two and a Half Men") to star in drama series pilot "Socio," as Karen Ryder. Also cast is Kimberly Quinn ("Terriers," "House") as Tess. They join the previously announced Avan Jogia as Danny, Maddie Hasson as Jo and Kylie Bunbury as Lacey in the project. The pilot is currently in preproduction.
On June 18, Robert Nicotra & John Dapolito presented Let's Kill Grandma This Christmas- A Contagious Laughter Production, at Manhattan Theatre Club Studios. The new comedy by Brian Gianci featured casting by Judy Bowman, and is aiming for an Off-Broadway run this winter.
