Jerry Bruckheimer & Spike TV Partnering for New Family Drama HARVEST

Spike TV is joining forces with legendary film/television producer Jerry Bruckheimer and Warner HORIZON Television to develop the original scripted drama series 'Harvest.' Centering on a father who turns to a life of crime to protect a dark family secret, 'Harvest' marks Spike's first scripted deal with a major studio and is the network's latest venture in creating big and bold entertainment for a gender-balanced audience.

THE REAL HISTORY OF SCIENCE FICTION Premieres 4/19 on BBC America

BBC AMERICA delves into the real history of science fiction with filmmakers, writers, actors and graphic artists looking back on their experiences and on how their obsession and imagination has taken them into the unknown. The new original documentary series is a BBC AMERICA and BBC Two co-production. The Real History of Science Fiction premieres Saturday, April 19, 10:00pm ET.

Jennifer Maisel's OUT OF ORBIT Wins Wagner College Theatre's 2014 Stanley Drama Award

The Wagner College Theatre has announced that the winner of this year's Stanley Drama Award is Jennifer Maisel of Los Angeles for her play, "Out of Orbit." Two finalists for this year's award were also announced: Chelsea Sutton of North Hollywood, Cal., for "The Dead Woman," and Sam Byron of New York City for "Gordy Crashes."

EXPO 1: NEW YORK Explores Ecological Challenges of Early 21st Century at MoMA PS1

EXPO 1: New York, an exploration of ecological challenges in the context of the economic and socio-political instability of the early 21st century opens at MoMA PS1, The Museum of Modern Art, and Rockaway Beach. Acting in the guise of a festival-as-institution, EXPO 1: New York imagines a contemporary art museum dedicated to ecological concerns, presenting a simultaneity of modules, interventions, solo projects, and group exhibitions including a school, a colony, a cinema, a geodesic dome, Rain Room, and more. EXPO 1: New York is made possible by a partnership with Volkswagen Group of America. Rain Room is on view at MoMA, courtesy of RH, Restoration Hardware.

Horton Foote's THE TRAVELING LADY Comes to Seattle, 5/13

THE NEEDS OF KIM STANLEY Documentary Launches Kickstarter Campaign

Kim Stanley is an iconic actress who is legendary on Broadway and in Hollywood but almost unknown to the public. alled the Female Brando, she made just four movies but was nominated twice for an Academy Award. She originated the dynamic characterization of Cherie in the original Broadway production of Bus Stop, a performance that Marilyn Monroe studied multiple times before appropriating it for the film version. To bring the story of Kim Stanley to the world, three theatre professionals and former students of hers have interviewed over 60 people around the world, including Lord Richard Attenborough, Sydney Pollack, Arthur Penn, Jessica Lange, Ellen Burstyn, Horton Foote, Eli Wallach and Lauren Hutton. THE NEEDS OF KIM STANLEY focuses on Kim's artistry and her approach to acting, epitomized by the exercise she created called 'The Needs.'
