Photo Coverage: LCT Unveils the New Claire Tow Theatre

Yesterday, May 16, Lincoln Center unveiled its brand new space, The Claire Tow Theatre. This latest theatrical venue on the complex will be the new home to LCT's programming initiative LCT3. It is now also the centerpiece of a $42 million, 23,000 square foot structure on the roof of the Vivian Beaumont Theater which also includes rehearsal and office space. It is the first live performance theater to open at Lincoln Center for the Performing Arts in over 40 years.

Galerie Lelong Paris and New York will exhibit key works by masters of European modernism and international contemporary artists for ART HK 12. The booth will emphasize Lelong artists who have had a significant presence in the Asia-Pacific region such as Andy Goldsworthy, Rosemary Laing, Yoko Ono, Jaume Plensa, Sean Scully, and Antoni Tàpies. This is the third consecutive year Lelong will participate in ART HK.

Columbia University School of the Arts will hold its Celebration of Graduates at 2:00pm on Wednesday, May 16, 2012, in Miller Theatre on the Morningside Campus. Graduates of the School's Master of Fine Arts programs in Film, Theatre Arts, Visual Arts and Writing, and the Master of Arts in Film Studies will be recognized by Carol Becker, Dean of Faculty, program chairs Ira Deutchman, Arnold Aronson and Gregory Amenoff, and poetry concentration director Lucie Brock-Broido.
Helmut Lang: Sculptures Exhibition Opens 5/5

Opening to the public May 5, 2012, the exhibition Helmut Lang: Sculptures will present a series of enigmatic recent works from the artist's ongoing explorations into the liminal realm between abstraction and figuration. Co-curated by Mark Fletcher and Neville Wakefield, the exhibition will go on view at 24 Washington Square North and include more than twenty new sculptures by the artist.
