651 ARTS Launches 'Classically Black' Season Tonight

For its 28th season, the Brooklyn-based organization presents four Classically Black evenings of dance, poetry and music including Dayton Contemporary Dance Company, (DCDC); pianist Kris Bowers in an evening celebrating Black film composers; an all-day cypher summit curated and led by poet Toni Blackman; and the dynamic music of Haitian super group Lakou Mizik.

Pittsburgh CLO Announces Cast of FIRST DATE

Conservatory Dance Company Sets 2015-16 Season

 Point Park University's Conservatory Dance Company announces the 2015-2016 season, which features pieces by Sonya Tayeh of 'So You Think You Can Dance,' all-male contemporary dance company MADBOOTS, and Artistic Director of the Washington Ballet, Septime Webre.

The seventh annual National High School Musical Theatre Awards / Jimmy Awards were held tonight, June 29, 2015, at the Minskoff Theatre on Broadway. This one-of-a-kind-event was hosted by two-time Tony Award-winner Michael Cerveris, currently on Broadway in this year's Best Musical Fun Home at Circle in the Square.

Jonah Rawitz of Buffalo Grove Wins 2014 National High School Musical Theater Awards

Broadway In Chicago has announced that Jonah Rawitz of Buffalo Grove, IL (Adlai E. Stevenson High School), representing the Illinois High School Musical Theater Awards, was awarded the coveted Jimmy Award for Best Performance by an Actor on Monday, June 30, 2014 at Broadway's Minskoff Theater. The Jimmy Award for Best Performance by an Actress was presented to Jai'Len Josey, representing the Georgia High School Musical Theater Awards -- Shuler Hensley Awards.

The 6th Annual National High School Musical Awards presented the coveted Jimmy Award for Best Performance by an Actress and Best Performance by an Actor on Monday, June 30 at Broadway's Minskoff Theater, to Jai' Len Josey representing the Georgia High School Musical Theater Awards - Shuler Hensley Awards and Jonah Rawitz, representing the Illinois High School Musical Theater Awards.

JUDGE JACKIE JUSTICE - A NEW MUSICAL COMEDY Debuts at CLO Cabaret Theater Tonight

Pittsburgh CLO has announced that the world premiere of Judge Jackie Justice - A New Musical Comedy will debut at the CLO Cabaret Theater today, January 30 and will run through April 27. CMU graduates Michael Kooman and Christopher Dimond are writing the musical, commissioned for the CLO's Cabaret Theater with dramaturgy by Mary Jane Brennan. The show is conceived and will be directed by Pittsburgh CLO Executive Producer Van Kaplan with choreography by Kiesha Lalama and musical direction by Michael Moricz.

Pittsburgh CLO Academy Students to Perform INTO THE WOODS, 11/16

Pittsburgh CLO Academy has announced that its students will perform Stephen Sondheim's Into the Woods at the New Hazlett Theater on November 16 at 2:00 & 7:00pm. The cast members are all enrolled in the school's Musical Theater Production class and are being directed by Pittsburgh CLO Academy faculty members Justin Fortunato, Kiesha Lalama, and Bob Neumeyer.
