Cheryl Henson (President, The Jim Henson Foundation); Kevin Clash (Elmo's Emmy-winning creator and Muppet veteran); and Carole Demas (Broadway star, children's television icon from The Magic Garden) have joined the advisory board of The New York Children's Theater Festival, it was announced today by Michael Shawn Lewis, co-founder of The Festival.
Films will explore subjects from the International Criminal Court, the life and career of Rin Tin Tin, Muslim comic book heroes, the fascinating life of the man who brings Elmo to life, and the life lessons of Mister Rogers.
Museum of the Moving Image announced an updated schedule of screenings, special guest appearances, and workshops that will be presented in conjunction with the exhibition Jim Henson's Fantastic World, beginning Saturday, July 16, 2011.

The National Academy of Television Arts & Sciences (NATAS) today announced the nominees for the 37th Annual Daytime Entertainment Emmy Awards. Many of the major categories were announced this morning on 'CBS News' 'The Early Show,' by Bree Williamson (Jessica Brennan on 'One Life to Live,' ABC) and Travis Stork ('The Doctors,' Syndicated) including the naming of the Lifetime Achievement honoree, Agnes Nixon, the grand dame of Daytime serial drama.

According to reports from Carnegie Hall, Tony nominee and Avenue Q alum John Tartaglia will narrate the holiday children's classic The Polar Express in concert with the New York Pops at Carnegie Hall this season. The production will take place in Stern Auditorium/Perelman Stage on Saturday, December 19 at 2pm. The concert features a score by Alan Silvestri, who also wrote the music for the 2004 feature film adaptation of the event.

Sesame Street favorites Gordon and Elmo are coming to Montclair High School Auditorium in Montclair, NJ on Saturday November 15th at 11 A.M. for a performance to benefit Luna Stage. Stars Roscoe Orman and Elmo puppeteer Kevin Clash are again lending their support to Luna Stage, a New Jersey cultural institution.
This morning the Daytime Emmy Nomination List was released.The 35th Annual 2008 Daytimes Emmy Awards will be held on Friday June 20th, 2008 at the Kodak Theatre in Los Angeles. ABC will be broadcasting the ceremony.
