David Michod to Direct First Episode of Starz's FLESH AND BONE

STARZ announced today that acclaimed filmmaker David Mich'd will direct the first episode of the new original drama series 'Flesh and Bone.' Mich'd is known as both a writer and director and his debut feature film Animal Kingdom went on to win multiple awards, as well as Golden Globe(R) and Oscar(R) nominations. His next feature film, The Rover, which he wrote and directed, stars Guy Pearce and Robert Pattinson.

STARZ announced today the involvement of internationally-renowned dancers in the original drama series 'Flesh and Bone' (previously announced as an 'Untitled Ballet Project') currently in development at the network, from award-winning 'Breaking Bad' Writer and Co-Executive Producer, Moira Walley-Beckett. 'Flesh and Bone' follows a young ballet dancer, Claire Robbins, who has a distinctly troubled past, as she joins a prestigious ballet company in New York. The dark and gritty series will unflinchingly explore the dysfunction and glamour of the ballet world.

The currently untitled drama follows a young female ballet dancer, Claire, who has a distinctly troubled past as she joins a prestigious ballet company in New York. The Academy of Motion Picture Arts and Sciences will present a restored version of the comedic silent film SHOW PEOPLE (1928) tonight, November 1, at 7:30 p.m. at the Samuel Goldwyn Theater in Beverly Hills. Kevin Brownlow, who received an Honorary Award (an Oscar® statuette), will introduce the film, which was restored under his supervision and features a stereo musical score by composer Carl Davis.
