Sony Pictures Home Entertainment offers music lovers a backstage pass to witness the King of Pop plan and create what would have been his electrifying and triumphant return to the stage when MICHAEL JACKSON'S THIS IS IT debuts on Blu-ray, DVD and PSP this January 26, 2010.

Wayman Wong of the NY Daily News has revealed that Oscar-winning composer Alan Menken has told him that he and lyricist Jack Feldman who wrote the music for the 1992 film are working on bringing the show to the stage, with a reading scheduled for the Spring of 2010 and a new book being written by Harvey Fierstein.

Kenny Ortega will direct a big screen adaptation of the Tony Award winning musical In the Heights, according to Variety. The film will be the director's follow-up to Michael Jackson's This is It. The film will be made by Universal pictures starring the show's creator and leading performer Lin-Manuel Miranda. The screenplay will be penned by the show's scribe, Quiara Alegria Hudes.
