As the Museum of Arts and Design approaches its five-year anniversary at its Columbus Circle location, the museum is preparing to celebrate this milestone with a diverse roster of exhibitions and programs that emphasize its focus on materials, process, and contemporary creation. Featured exhibitions in 2013 include Fashion Jewelry: The Collection of Barbara Berger, Body & Soul: New International Ceramics, and Out of Hand: Materializing the Postdigital. A further highlight of the year is MAD's annual curated contemporary jewelry exhibition and saleLOOT 2013: MAD About Jewelry.

In honor The Great Gatsby opening this weekend (yay), I am featuring a sale on art deco jewelry. Alas, it's not the collection at Tiffany's, that's just wishful thinking, but it is Kenneth Jay Lane jewelry featured on Gilt. There are a lot of different styles represented in the sale, but I wanted to focus on just the art deco pieces. I have always been an art deco girl, so everything is right up my alley.
Marc Warren to Lead Novel's COOL HAND LUKE; Full Cast Announced!

The full cast has been announced for Novel Theatre's West End production of COOL HAND LUKE, which will be led by Marc Warren (Hustle, Mad Dogs). The show will be directed by Andrew Loudon, and will open October 3 at the Aldwych Theatre.
