Actress Carey Anderson, who recently appeared on Broadway in MAMMA MIA, joins the cast of AVENUE Q as the Tony Award-winning musical's beloved puppet characters Kate Monster and Lucy, beginning Tuesday, July 8 at 8PM at the Golden Theatre (252 West 45th Street).

The Tony Award-winning musical 'Avenue Q' will hit another Broadway milestone when it plays its 2000th performance at the Golden Theatre (252 West 45th Street) on Tuesday, June 3rd at 8 p.m.

Simply put, 'Avenue Q' is a brilliant musical comedy, written, staged and performed by brilliant people, saying brilliant, insightful things about young adulthood and life in general-and the actors are having a fantastic time on stage every single night.

AVENUE Q is the hit Broadway musical about real life in New York City, as told by a cast of people and puppets through a hilariously irreverent, Tony® Award-winning book and score. The three-time Tony® Award winner, including Best Musical, will make its Miami debut at The Adrienne Arsht Center for the Performing Arts of Miami-Dade County May 13 - 18, 2008. The Miami engagement of AVENUE Q is a co-presentation of The Arsht Center and Stanford Broadway Across America - Miami presented by Moet Chandon.

Broadway In Chicago is proud to present the Chicago premiere of Avenue Q - the Tony Award-winning smash-hit musical about trying to make it in New York with big dreams and a tiny bank account. The residents of AVENUE Q will appear on Food Network's popular television program ACE OF CAKES on the March 27, 2008 episode at 10:30 PM ET. While at Baltimore's Hippodrome Theatre, the cast and crew of Ace of Cakes and the cast and crew of the touring production of AVENUE Q filmed an episode of Ace of Cakes during which Chef Duff Goldman unveiled a customized AVENUE Q cake that depicts the Tony Award-winning musical's characters. Ace of Cakes, a primetime series airing on Food Network, chronicles the misadventures of Chef Duff Goldman. He has created everything from a three-foot buttercream sculpture of Elvis to a massive edible replica of Wrigley Field. The national touring company of Avenue Q makes a fuzzy and fun pit-stop at the National Theatre in Washington DC through December 9 before heading to Baltimore. Photographer Mark Rupp and other young fans were treated to a special VIP backstage tour with the cast and an introduction to the puppets and inner-workings of the hit Tony Award-winning musical.

The puppets of 'Avenue Q' were happy to pick up the pen and sign-in for work on Thursday, November 29. Trekkie Monster, Rod and Kate Monster have been away from the Golden Theatre for 19-days during the work-stoppage. But they're ready to bring the laughs back to The Golden Theatre in their Tony Award-winning musical!

After a year and a half of performances Julie Atherton, Jon Robyns and Simon Lipkin will be leaving the company of Avenue Q on December 3. Joining the cast are Rebecca Lock, Daniel Boys and Christopher Fry.
