The Roundabout Theatre Company revival production of the hit 1940's musical Anything Goes opened this past Thursday night at The Princess of Wales Theatre, during one of the worst heat waves the city of Toronto had ever had. With ushers dressed in sailor uniforms and clever social media photobooths assembled in the theatre, the production was quickly being touted as a fantastic way to 'beat the heat' and enjoy three hours of blissful airconditionning. The Tony Award-winning Broadway hit MATILDA THE MUSICAL celebrated its 100th performance on Sunday, July 7, closing out another record-breaking week at the Shubert Theatre (225 West 44th Street). The production broke a Shubert house record for the fourth week in a row, grossing $1,307,167 over eight performances for the week ending July 7, 2013.
Theatre503, Euan Borland Productions and Tara Finney Productions present the debut full-length play by resident writer Chris Urch - Land of our Fathers. Set during Thatcher's Britain and directed by Artistic Director Paul Robinson, this darkly comic drama looks at the dramatic two weeks of a group of Welsh miners who are trapped underground in a collapsed coal mine. It will run at Theatre503, above The Latchmere in Battersea, between 17 September and 12 October 2013.

MATILDA THE MUSICAL will perform on 'The Late Show with David Letterman' tomorrow night Tuesday June 11. MATILDA THE MUSICAL opened to rapturous reviews in April and has received four Tony Awards, the Best Musical award from the New York Drama Critics Circle, and five Drama Desk Awards including Best Musical. Each of the four girls who share the title role (Sophia Gennusa, Oona Laurence, Bailey Ryon and Milly Shapiro) received a Tony Honor for Excellence in the Theater. 'The Late Show' airs on CBS at 11:35 PM, (Channel 2 in New York).
