Buffalo Theatre Ensemble Presents THE DINGDONG: OR HOW THE FRENCH KISS

Buffalo Theatre Ensemble (BTE), the professional Equity company in residence at the McAninch Arts Center, 425 Fawell Blvd. on the campus of College of DuPage (COD) opens its 2018-2019 season with "The Dingdong, or How the French Kiss," a new adaptation by Mark Shanahan from "Le Dindon" by Georges Feydeau. Five actors play 13 roles in this bubbly, fast-paced adaptation of Feydeau's classic directed by BTE Artistic Director Connie Canaday Howard, where opening the wrong door can lead to mayhem, giggles and ultimately some unexpected understandings of a happy marriage. The play runs Sept. 6-Oct. 7. There will be a preview Sept. 6. Press opening is Friday, Sept. 7.   

BTE Adds Six New Ensemble Members

Playwright John Patrick Shanley's OUTSIDE MULLINGAR fits neatly into the tradition of his Irish-American heritage; through unpretentious characters and witty dialogue, he spins a tale that explores universal themes of loneliness, longing, home, and family. Steve Scott directs this production by the Buffalo Theatre Ensemble, the Equity company in residence at the McAninch Arts Center in Glen Ellyn, IL.

BTE's OUTSIDE MULLINGAR Directed By Steve Scott Opens May 4

Buffalo Theatre Ensemble (BTE), the professional Equity company in residence at the McAninch Arts Center, presents John Patrick Shanley's heartwarming romantic comedy "Outside Mullingar," directed by Steve Scott, May 3-June 3. Says the Seattle Times, "The Irish-American Shanley (known for his delightful film romance 'Moonstruck,' and trenchant morality drama 'Doubt') can sure and begorrah dish the bickering and the blarney, the Irish wisdom and gallows wit."

Buffalo Theatre Ensemble Opens 2018 With Two New Ensemble Members

Buffalo Theatre Ensemble (BTE) the professional Equity theater in residence at the McAninch Arts Center (MAC) located on the campus of College of DuPage, marks the beginning of 2018 with two new ensemble members and as a recipient of a grant from the DuPage Foundation and additional support from the Norm Woodel Inspiration Fund.

Buffaloe Theatre Ensemble Continues 2016-2017 Season with David Lindsay-Abaire's GOOD PEOPLE

Buffalo Theatre Ensemble (BTE) continues its 2016-2017 "Year of the Phoenix" Season in the McAninch Arts Center's intimate Playhouse Theatre with David Lindsay-Abaire's Good People," directed by BTE Ensemble Artistic Director Connie Canaday Howard,* Feb. 2-March 5. There will be a preview performance onThursday, Feb. 2 at 8 p.m.; press opening is Friday, Feb. 3 at 8 p.m. Performances run through Sunday, March 5.

Casting for Steppenwolf's GARAGE REP 2015 Announced!

Now in its sixth year, Steppenwolf Theatre Company presents Garage Rep 2015, featuring three cutting-edge Chicago companies producing bold work in rotating repertory for ten weeks under Steppenwolf's banner. This year's Garage Rep features Cold Basement Dramatics' production of Heat Wave, Pride Films and Plays' production of Angry Fags and Red Tape Theatre's production of The Walk Across America for Mother Earth. Casting and creative teams for each production included below. Performances run February 20, 2015 - April 26, 2015 in the Garage Theatre (1624 N. Halsted St.). Press weekend is March 7 and 8.
