The New York Musical Theatre Festival (NYMF) and Kellner-Avery Productions proudly present the World Premiere of HURRICANE. This epic new musical takes an all-but-forgotten moment in history and brings it to life with the largest cast in NYMF history, 30 in all. Directed by Michael Bush, HURICANE features a book by Michael Holland and Eric Bernat, and music and lyrics by Michael Holland. Performances begin September 28 at The Theatre at St. Clements.

Hurricane By Eric Bernat, book I am almost 100 years old! Several years ago, while feeding me a banana mashed together with donepezil and ginkgo biloba, Michael Holland mentioned to me that he was starting to write a new musical.

42ND STREET, the 'all talking, all singing, all dancing' extravaganza, is precisely the kind of colorful and splashy entertainment that the Muny does so well.

Author Ellis Nassour hosted an event to celebrate his book, Honky Tonk Angel: The Intimate Story of Patsy Cline, updated edition (Chicago Review Press, 2008), and to honor the birthday and life of a country music legend. The event took place on Monday, September 8, 2008 at Barnes & Noble (Lincoln Square, 972 Broadway, New York, NY 10023). Nassour was interviewed about Cline's life and his book Honky Tonk Angel by respected theater critic Peter Filichia.

A multitude of Broadway actors will be part of 90 YEARS OF MUNY MAGIC, an upcoming revue that celebrates the 90th season of the famed St. Louis Muny, the nation's oldest and largest outdoor theatre. 90 YEARS OF MUNY MAGIC runs July 14-20 at 8:15 PM.

Irving Berlin's White Christmas, the holiday musical featuring the classic songs of Irving Berlin, is playing the Sony Centre in Toronto through January 5, 2008. It opened on November 30.

The winners of the Kevin Kline Awards have been announced

Seventeen St. Louis theater companies are represented in the nominations for the second annual Kevin Kline Awards. Thirty-seven plays and musicals produced in the St. Louis area during 2006 now share 115 nominations in 22 different categories for the coveted award. The nominations were announced on KWMU-FM's 'Cityscape' on January 19.
