After a year-long hiatus, WRITER'S BLOCK is back at 54 Below on Tuesday August 19th, 2014 at 9:30 pm. WRITER'S BLOCK is the place where NYC's most talented up-and-coming songwriters of contemporary musical theatre and beyond stop by to try new work, revisit older tunes, and maybe even make a friend or two.

Working Artists Theatre Project, in collaboration with the David Lynch Foundation, presents a staged play reading benefit of James McLure's companion comedies Lone Star and Laundry and Bourbon under the title '1959 Pink Thunderbird', featuring a cast of Broadway talent. All proceeds will benefit the Operation Warrior Wellness Project in teaching War Veterans with PTSD Transcendental Meditation.

The songs performed were selected from his musicals: W2ML (under a Broadway option), Sunset City (Running Deer Theatre Lab 2013), The Concrete Jungle (workshop March 2014), Daybreak (London's Tristan Bates Theatre 2012), and 'Til Death Do Us Part (2012 Alec Baldwin Fellowship Winner).
