BWW Review: Portland Stage's ALMOST, MAINE is Pure Perfection

Portland Stage's revival of John Cariani's ALMOST, MAINE, a play which premiered with the company in 2004, represents some of the very best work this theatre can produce. The exquisitely poetic series of vignettes about love and loss framed within the uniqueness of the Maine context, offers an evening of virtually pure perfection and unlimited delight.

Palm Beach Dramaworks Presents Tennessee Williams' A STREETCAR NAMED DESIRE

Tennessee Williams' A Streetcar Named Desire, the Pulitzer Prize-winner that is on virtually every critic's short list of greatest American plays, opens Palm Beach Dramaworks' 2019-2020 season on Friday, October 11 (8pm) at the Don & Ann Brown Theatre. Premiere Stages To Present 2019 Premiere Play Festival Winner THE WAKE

Premiere Stages at Kean University will present Tammy Ryan's The Wake July 11-28 in Kean University's Bauer Boucher Theatre Center (Vaughn Eames Hall, 1000 Morris Avenue, Union, N.J.). Recently selected from 659 submissions as the winner of the 2019 Premiere Play Festival, The Wake will feature actors James Gushue, Wayne Maugans, Kathy McCafferty and Kelley Rae O'Donnell. John J. Wooten, producing artistic director of Premiere Stages, directs.

Primary Stages Announces Play Selections For ESPA Drills 2019

Primary Stages announced today the selections for ESPA Drills 2019, a developmental play program that provides staged readings to four playwrights selected by blind submission, for scripts developed at Primary Stages ESPA. Presented by Primary Stages Einhorn School of Performing Arts (ESPA), the plays are workshopped under the guidance of the Primary Stages ESPA staff. All readings are free and open to the public and will be held at The Lucille Lortel Theatre (121 Christopher Street) on Monday, April 1 and Monday, April 8, 2019.

TRICK OR TREAT, Starring Gordon Clapp, Makes NYC Premiere At 59E59 Theaters

59E59 Theaters (Val Day, Artistic Director; Brian Beirne, Managing Director) is thrilled to welcome the NYC premiere of TRICK OR TREAT, written by Jack Neary and directed by Carol Dunne. Produced by Northern Stage, TRICK OR TREAT begins performances on Saturday, January 12 for a limited engagement through Sunday, February 24. Press Opening is Sunday, January 20 at 7 PM.
