The season will feature the final two installments of the 28 year Verdi Cycle – The Battle of Legnano and Aida- in a grand spectacle of music, vocal prowess, awe-inspiring choruses, sumptuous scenery, and luxurious costumes. In addition, the company will present Beethoven's only opera, Fidelio, and Mozart's comedic Così fan tutte.

John Cariani's play, ALMOST, MAINE, about the search for love in a small New England town, has been delighting audiences all across New England since it premiered in Portland in 2004. Its Off-Broadway premiere in 2006 convinced Manhattan that amour is alive and well to their north. Middlebury Community Players will present the first Middlebury production of the play Today, May 1 through Sunday, May 4 at Town Hall Theater.

Older & Reckless, MOonhORsE Dance Theatre's celebrated series, concludes its 2012/13 season with OLD & YOUNG AND RECKLESS TOGETHER featuring six dance artists from across Canada in works by choreographers James Kudelka, Julia Sasso, Karen Kaeja andEmily Gualtieri. For the first time, Older & Reckless invites guest curator Michael Caldwell to program this special series of inter-generational works. Edition #29 of Older and Reckless runs tonight, May 16 to 18 at the Dancemakers Centre for Creation.

In Tandem Theatre is pleased to announce the return of the smash hit musical comedy, Scrooge In Rouge by Ricky Graham and Jefferson Turner to the Tenth Street Theatre, 628 N. 10th Street, Milwaukee. The show runs December 3 - 31, 2010 after a sold out run last season. The original cast returns featuring Chris Flieller (Tandem Theatre's Artistic Director and Stasch from A Cudahy Caroler Christmas), Matt Daniels (Milwaukee Shakespeare Company, Illinois and North Carolina Shakespeare Festivals, and Off Broadway West in California) and Marcy Kearns (Milwaukee Shakespeare Company, Milwaukee Repertory Theater and Theatre South Carolina).

Lyric Opera Produces LA TRAVIATA, Opens 3/14

Kansas City opera fans have been waiting 10 years for the Lyric Opera of Kansas City to produce the audience favorite, La Traviata. On March 14, 16, 18, 20, & 22, 2009 the Lyric Opera of Kansas City will present Verdi's spellbinding tragedy, La Traviata at the Lyric Theatre in downtown Kansas City. Under the spell of one exquisite party, Violetta is tempted - and eventually swayed - to abandon her life of endless immoral pleasure to join lovesick Alfredo in the love affair of a lifetime despite Violetta's secret terminal disease. Violetta's colored past proves to be a hurdle for Alfredo's father, who persuades her to leave Alfredo for his own good. The pair is only reunited for the final moments of Violetta's life.
