Philadelphia's William Way LGBT Community Center's John J. Wilcox, Jr Archives today announced the world premiere of These Don't Easily Scatter by three-time Obie award-winning writer and director Ain Gordon. Gordon's new play will open as part of Remembrance: an alternative memorial dedicated to Philadelphians and the HIV/AIDS crisis.

As we focus on the Tony nominations announcement on Monday, you may be wondering – who does the nominating? This year over 50% of the announced nominators will not in fact be nominating anyone. There are now only 29 essential players in the Tony nominator pool.

In its final concert of the season, The Cecilia Chorus of New York, Mark Shapiro, Music Director, will present Shakespeare...and more! The program features the World Premiere of Caroline Mallonee's cantata With Streaks of Light, and includes chamber works inspired by and relating to Shakespeare. New York City Children's Theater will host its third free live stream of their MEET THE PARENT series hosted by Broadway actress (and mom) Anika Larsen with guests Cameron Crowe and Tom Kitt. 

Bay Street Theater & Sag Harbor Center for the Arts has announced the cast and crew of the comedy Windfall, the first show of the 2022 Mainstage Season, with previews starting May 31. The new comedy by Scooter Pietsch, directed by Jason Alexander, opens Saturday, June 4, and continues through Sunday, June 19.

The Civilians (Steve Cosson, Artistic Director; Margaret Moll, Managing Director), the award-winning New York-based theater company, will honor actor-manager and co-founder of NAATCO Mia Katigbak and Obie Award-winning director and arts leader Les Waters at The Civilians 20th Anniversary Gala Concert. The event, which takes place on Monday, May 23 at 6:30pm at City Winery (25 11th Ave), will celebrate two decades of creative investigation into the richness and complexity of life.

Symphony Space will present Wall to Wall Selected Shorts, a monumental celebration of short fiction, March 26 in Symphony Space’s Peter Jay Sharp theater in New York City (2537 Broadway at 95th Street).

Westport Country Playhouse's Family Festivities will present the new musical, “Rosie Revere, Engineer, and Friends,” which spotlights the STEM curriculum, focusing on science, technology, engineering, and math.

After much anticipation following its critically acclaimed 2018 world premiere at the Fisher Center at Bard, Four Quartets will be presented at BAM from Feb 10—12. Along with a score by the renowned Finnish composer Kaija Saariaho played live by The Knights, and iconic painter Brice Marden, choreographer Pam Tanowitz creates a glorious and thrilling performance inspired by T.S. Eliot’s beautiful and mysterious meditation, Four Quartets. These haunting and evocative poems emerged in 1943 from the chaos of World War II as hopeful testaments to the redemptive power of spirituality, art, and human goodness in the darkest of times. Tony Award–nominated Kathleen Chalfant (Angels in America, Wit) performs Eliot’s text live on stage with the dancers who effortlessly elevate contrasts in dynamics, space, and form by pivoting large ensemble works with transcendent duets and riveting solos.

New York City Children's Theater (NYCCT) - will host its second free live stream of their MEET THE PARENT series hosted by Broadway actress (and mom) ANIKA LARSEN with guests AUDRA MCDONALD and ANN HARADA.

Royal Family Productions will present a workshop production of MAMA ROSE. This piece is written and stars Richard E. Waits (A Turtle on a Fence Post, RFP: Worth St.), with direction by Royal Family Creative Director Lorna Ventura and Royal Family Artistic Director Chris Henry.

“Blue Valiant,” stars two of America’s most respected, multiple-award-winning actors, Kathleen Chalfant, and George Bartenieff and introduces Millie Ortiz. Written and directed by Karen Malpede and filmed on location at Farm Arts Collective, with a score by Arthur Rosen and horse projections by photographer Ellen Lynch.

The series will be hosted on Zoom and will be a lively, informative discussion with other parents who also work in the theatre community.
