Parity Productions, the New York based theatre company dedicated to producing new work by women, trans, and gender-expansive playwrights, will produce public staged readings for their 2022 Parity Development Award Winners at Pier 57 and at The Maker’s Studio in Chelsea, NYC this August. 

Urbanite Theatre will present a second World Premiere for its final production of the 2022/23 season, THAT MUST BE THE ENTRANCE TO HEAVEN by Franky D. Gonzalez. This production was first commissioned by Urbanite Theatre in 2020 as part of the Charles Rowan Beye New Play Initiative.

The Parsnip Ship (Artistic Director + Host, Iyvon E.) has announced the continuation of their Fall 2022 programming (Season 5) with live play recording dates, a new play development program (The Parsnip Play Club), and the extension of their theatrical experiment, The Detour Series.

Playwrights Horizons and play development company The Parsnip Ship present The Detour Series, are premiering two commissioned, site-specific audio journeys through Hell's Kitchen, Playwrights Horizons’ neighborhood, September 1-25.

Playwrights Horizons will present the second season of Soundstage, its scripted fiction podcast.  Fault Line Theatre will continue the 2022 Season of Irons in the  Fire, the organization’s reading series of new plays in development, with God Save the Queer by Zackary Grady, directed by Portia Krieger and featuring Michael Urie (George), Mallory Portnoy (Charlotte), Keshav Moodliar (Tariq), Seth Clayton (Louis), and Mary McCann (Kate).

The second installment of Moxie Arts NY's virtual fourth season, The Moxie Commission, premieres Friday, May 28th at 8pm ET / 5pm PT featuring three world-premieres: Good Mourning Pt. 2, The Next Best Thing, and Techno Paper Planes Pt. 2. The show will be available to stream on-demand through Monday, May 31st.

Roundabout Theatre Company has announced current Roundabout Directors Group member Sivan Battat as the 2021-2022 Directing Fellow. The Roundabout Directing Fellowship was launched in 2017 to create a long-term, meaningful relationship between Roundabout and a young director.
