The Playwrights Realm will to bring back their '1to5 Ticket Drive' initiative during preview performances for the World Premiere of MY MAÑANA COMES by Elizabeth Irwin. Tickets for the first preview start at $1 and increase by $1 for each preview performance that week (August 26 - $1; August 27 - $2; August 28 - $3; August 29 - $4; August 30 - $5). Tickets for performances on August 31, September 2 and September 3 are $15. Tickets range in price from $25 to $35 for all regular performances (September 4 thru 20). Student rush tickets are available for $10 for all performances from August 31 thru September 20.
The Playwrights Realm will present the annual INK'D Reading Festival from May 12 through May 15 at The Studio Theatre at Cherry Lane Theatre (38 Commerce Street). The 2014 festival features the plays of Elizabeth Irwin (My Mañana Comes), Lila Rose Kaplan (123), Jason Gray Platt (The There There) and Amelia Roper (Lottie in the Late Afternoon). As previously announced, My Mañana Comes will receive a full production at The Peter Jay Sharp Theater (416 West 42nd Street) from August 26 to September 20, 2014.

The Playwrights Realm has announced the expansion of programming to include two productions as part of the 2014-2015 season. The first production will be the world premiere of MY MAÑANA COMES by next season's Page One Playwright Elizabeth Irwin, running August 26 - September 20, 2014 at The Peter Jay Sharp Theater. The inaugural Alumni Production will be the world premiere of CITY OF by Alumni Page One Playwright Anton Dudley, running January - February TBD, 2015 at a venue TBA. In an effort to further support and advance the careers of its playwrights, the Alumni Production will allow The Realm to produce new work by its growing contingency of Alumni Playwrights. The two productions were announced at the theatre company's seventh annual 'Writers Block Party' on Monday, April 7, 2014.

Last night, the League of Professional Theatre Women (LPTW), a not-for-profit organization committed to promoting visibility and increasing opportunities for women in the professional theatre, recognized the talents of six outstanding women: Zoe Caldwell, Judith Dolan, Joanna Sherman, Sondra Gorney, Meiyin Wang and Katherine Kovner. The awards were presented at the League's 2014 Awards Celebration & Big Mingle Reception to be held at The Irene Diamond Stage (The Pershing Square Signature Center, 480 West 42nd Street) featuring emcee Tamara Tunie. The Playwrights Realm will present the Next Edition Festival, a free first look at five plays from its previously produced playwrights, January 21 through 28 at The Studio at 511 (511 W 54th Street between 10th and 11th Avenues).
