The Playwrights Realm's World Premiere production of MY MAÑANA COMES by Elizabeth Irwin, directed by Chay Yew, opens tonight, September 4, at the Peter Jay Sharp Theater (416 W. 42nd Street, NYC). The show runs through September 20th, 2014 only.

Tickets are on sale through www.TicketCentral.com, by calling (212) 279-4200, noon to 8 p.m. daily or by visiting the Ticket Central box office at 416 W. 42nd Street. Tickets range in price from $25 to $35. Student rush tickets are available for $10 for all performances.

The cast includes Jason Bowen (Ma Rainey's Black Bottom, Huntington Theatre) as Peter, José Joaquín Pérez (Intar's Adoration of the Old Woman by José Rivera) as Jorge, Brian Quijada (Where Did We Sit on the Bus?, Terra Nova Collective) as Whalid and Reza Salazar (Por Gusto, Repertorio Español) as Pepe.

Just beyond the elegant dining room of an Upper East Side restaurant, four busboys angle for shifts, pray for tips, and cling to dreams of life beyond their dingy back-of-house grind. Expertly juggling delicate entrees, fussy customers and beer-swilling line cooks, the young men face off with management and each other. As tensions reach a boiling point, how far will each of them go to see their own mañana come?

The design team includes Wilson Chin (Scenic Design), Moria Sine Clinton (Costume Design), Nicole Pearce (Lighting Design), Mikhail Fiksel (Sound Design/Composition) and Anna Demenkoff (Props Design). Production Core is the Production Supervisor. Winnie Y. Lok is the Production Stage Manager and Catherine Lynch is the Assistant Stage Manager.

MY MAÑANA COMES performances are Monday through Saturday at 7:30pm with a special matinee performance Saturday, September 13th at 2pm.

MY MAÑANA COMES is made possible, in part, by the New York State Council on the Arts with the support of Governor Andrew Cuomo and the New York State Legislature.

The Playwrights Realm, helmed by Artistic Director Katherine Kovner and Managing Director Alexander Orbovich, is devoted to supporting emerging playwrights along the journey of playwriting, helping them to hone their craft, fully realize their vision and build meaningful artistic careers. To serve this mission, The Playwrights Realm has produced one off-Broadway production each year since its founding in 2007. This year The Realm is expanding their season to also include the newly instituted Alumni Production, which will be dedicated to mounting new works by the growing contingency of Alumni Playwrights who have already been produced by the company. The inaugural Alumni Production will be City Of by Anton Dudley directed by Stephen Brackett (Buyer & Cellar) in the winter of 2015. Previous productions by The Playwrights Realm include The Hatmaker's Wife by Lauren Yee (2013), Red-Handed Otter by Ethan Lipton (2012), Crane Story by Jen Silverman (2011), Gonzalo Rodriguez Risco's Dramatis Personae (2010), Christopher Wall's Dreams of the Washer King (2010), Anna Ziegler's Dov and Ali (2009) and Anton Dudley's Substitution (2008). The Playwrights Realm is dedicated to providing comprehensive support to playwrights throughout their creative processes and careers and compliments its off-Broadway productions with the Page One Residency, Alumni Playwrights Program, Writing Fellows Residency, and new play development pipeline.
