Alvin Ailey American Dance Theater's New York City Center season celebrating Judith Jamison's 20th year as Artistic Director will launch on Wednesday, December 2, 2009 with an Opening Night Gala Benefit.

Alvin Ailey American Dance Theater will celebrate the opening of its annual season at New York City Center on Wednesday, November 28, 2007 with a Gala celebration, hosted by Artistic Director Judith Jamison. One of the City's largest and most successful fund-raisers, Hip Hop Impresario Russell Simmons is this year's Honorary Chair. This year's gala will feature two pieces danced to live music.
