GOLD MOTEL releases today, July 3rd their self-titled sophomore album on their own Good as Gold imprint via a new partnership with Thirty Tigers. The new album is the follow-up to their debut album Summer House which was independently released in June 2010. They played a hometown show at The Metro in Chicago on April 27th as well as a show at Illinois State University in Normal, IL on April 28th where fans got to hear some of their new songs live.

GOLD MOTEL has announced the July 3rd release of their self-titled sophomore album on their own Good as Gold imprint via a new partnership with Thirty Tigers. Kate Nash, British singer, songwriter, and musician conducted a special workshop with inner-city youth on March 3, 2011, at the All Stars Project's performing arts and development center on W. 42nd Street. The workshop was part of an ongoing youth outreach initiative sponsored by Music Unites. Over 60 youth from inner-city communities throughout New York participated in the workshop by performing their own original songs and dialoguing with Kate Nash about how to develop their talents as performers, musicians, and songwriters. Kate Nash shared her life experiences as an artist and performed her hit song 'I Hate Seagulls'.

Today, June 27 is the final day of the Glastonbury Festival 2010 in Glastonbury, England. A number of musicians have performed at the festival including Seasick Steve, Tinie Tempah, Scissor Sisters, and The Dead Weather. The festival began in 1970 thanks to dairy farmer Michael Evis. It has since grown into the biggest music festival in Europe, and celebrates it's 40th anniversary this year. Broadwayworld brings you coverage of the festival below.
