Listening to ragtime means embracing music with patience and consideration, allowing the melodies to overwhelm you with the emotion of their story. To get a sense of this experience, one only has to see Music Theatre of Denton's production of RAGTIME.

Music Theatre of Denton is bringing RAGTIME the Musical to Campus Theatre as our first production of the 2019 Season, weekends of February 22 and March 1. We are extending an opportunity for you to review us for publication for either our Friday or Saturday evening, or Sunday matinee performances. The Firehouse Theatre in Farmers Branch will deck the halls with Irving Berlin's iconic holiday tunes in the family-favorite musical, WHITE CHRISTMAS. With tickets as low as $13, this song-and-dance spectacle is sure to please audiences of all ages. WHITE CHRISTMAS opens Friday, November 30th and runs through Sunday, December 16th.

By all accounts, 2016 has been quite the rollercoaster ride. Fortunately for DFW audiences, the local theatre community and many of the touring productions delivered nothing short of a stellar year, setting quite a high bar for upcoming performances. As we say goodbye to another December, we'd like to look back on a handful of memories that stood out among the long list of Playbills we've gathered. And like raindrops on roses and whiskers on kittens, these live theatre moments will be remembered as a few of our favorite things. We present this list in no particular order, and without awards or titles bestowed upon those listed. To everyone who contributed to the DFW theatre community in 2016, we thank you for sharing your time and talents with us.

The Firehouse Theatre is proud to announce casting for Thoroughly Modern Millie, which runs February 18th-March 6th. Joining previously announced Janelle Lutz as Millie Dilmount is Tyler Jeffrey Adams as Jimmy Smith; Sarah Comley Caldwell as Mrs. Meers; Rebecca Paige as Miss Dorothy Brown; Mark Quach as Ching Ho; Hunter Lewis as Bun Foo; Marilyn Setu as Miss Flannery; Kimberly M. Oliver as Muzzy Von Hossmere; and Derek Whitener as Trevor Graydon.

Last night, at The Firehouse Theatre in Farmers Branch, the smash-hit Disney musical MARY POPPINS opened to a packed house. With an eager cast of nineteen singers and dancers, the recently converted industrial building was overflowing with energy and enthusiasm.

"In every job that must be done, there is an element of fun," says the nanny to her young charges, Jane and Michael Banks, just before introducing them to the genius idea that, "a spoonful of sugar helps the medicine go down!" One adventure after another unfolds as Mary Poppins flies into the hearts of theatergoers in The Firehouse Theatre's final show of its 2015 season.
