2010 has been quite the year for lyricist and composer Stephen Sondheim, who celebrated his 80th Birthday, saw two of his shows on Broadway and even had a Broadway theatre named after him. Things are winding down but there is still one ultimate celebration in store this Friday, November 19th as Steven Reineke and the New York Pops are joined by Broadway talents Kate Baldwin, Christiane Noll, Aaron Lazar and Alex Gemignani at Carnegie Hall to celebrate Mr. Sondheim's amazing body of work and distinguished career.

He celebrated his 80th Birthday on March 22nd, and has been honoured in many very special ways (including having a theatre named after him on Broadway). To close out the year, the last Sondheim celebration is happening on November 19th at Carnegie Hall, where Steven Reineke and the New York POPS have put together a special evening in his honour, featuring many of the great songs and music he has written through his career. Joining Mr. Reineke and the New York POPS are Kate Baldwin, Christiane Noll, Aaron Lazar and Alex Gemignani.

On Friday, November 19 at 8:00 p.m. in Stern Auditorium/Perelman Stage, Broadway stars Kate Baldwin, Aaron Lazar, and Christiane Noll join The New York Pops, under the direction of Steven Reineke to celebrate the 80th birthday of legendary Broadway composer and lyricist Stephen Sondheim. Sondheim-whose actual birthday was on March 22-is widely acknowledged as the most innovative and influential composer and lyricist in modern Broadway history. The concert will feature performances of some of the most beloved songs and soliloquies from Sondheim's extensive career. Vocal ensemble Essential Voices USA-led by Judith Clurman-also joins The New York Pops for this special performance.
