SHOWTIME has announced that Simone Kessell (Obi-Wan Kenobi) is joining the highly anticipated second season of YELLOWJACKETS as Adult Lottie Matthews. In addition, Courtney Eaton (Mad Max: Fury Road), who plays the teen version of Lottie, has been upped to series regular in season two. She joins recently announced Lauren Ambrose (My Fair Lady).

SHOWTIME announced that two-time Emmy and Tony nominee Lauren Ambrose (Six Feet Under, My Fair Lady) is joining the highly anticipated second season of YELLOWJACKETS in a series regular role as the adult version of Van. In addition, Liv Hewson (Santa Clarita Diet) who plays the teen version of Van, has been upped to series regular in season two.

The “darkly delightful” (Decider), YELLOWJACKETS: SEASON ONE, arrives on DVD on July 19, 2022, from Showtime® CBS Home Entertainment and Paramount Home Entertainment. Led by a powerful, female ensemble cast including Melanie Lynskey (Castle Rock), Tawny Cypress (Unforgettable), Emmy® and Golden Globe® nominee Christina Ricci (Z: The Beginning of Everything) and Oscar® and Emmy® nominee Juliette Lewis (Camping), the “riveting” (Collider) 10 episode series has been featured in nearly 50 “Best of the Year” lists and is one of the most buzzed about new TV series of 2021.

The release features music by Craig Wedren, best known as the frontman for D.C.-based seminal post-hardcore band Shudder to Think, Anna Waronker of indie pop darlings that dog., who scored most of the show’s episodes; and composer Theodore Shapiro who composed the music for the show’s pilot.

XYZ Films has acquired all North American rights to the horror/thriller MAN’S SON, starring Frank Grillo and directed by his son, Remy Grillo. The film was written by Josh Plasse and Brev Moss. Dare Angel will produce in partnership with Mi Nene.

The film was written and directed by Addison Heimann and stars Zach Villa (American Horror Story), Devon Graye (I Don’t Feel at Home in This World Anymore), Madeline Zima (Californication), Chris Doubek (Boyhood), Marlene Forte (Knives Out), and Paget Brewster (Criminal Minds). The film is a Minutehand Pictures production.

The hit drama Yellowjackets on Sunday completed its first season on SHOWTIME as the second-most streamed series in network history, behind only the recently aired Dexter: New Blood. XYZ Films announces that they will partner with Drafthouse Films for a North American co-release of JALLIKATTU, India’s Oscar entry for Best International Feature Film for 2020.

Produced for SHOWTIME by Entertainment One (eOne), YELLOWJACKETS was created by Ashley Lyle and Bart Nickerson (Narcos), who are executive producing and serving as showrunners. Karyn Kusama (Destroyer) will executive produce and direct the pilot. Drew Comins of Creative Engine also serves as executive producer.

SHOWTIME has announced a pilot order for the hour-long drama series YELLOWJACKETS, with creators Ashley Lyle and Bart Nickerson (Narcos) executive producing and serving as showrunners. Karyn Kusama (Destroyer) will executive produce and direct the pilot, a co-production of SHOWTIME and Entertainment One (eOne) taking place in Los Angeles this fall. The announcement was made today by Gary Levine and Jana Winograde, Presidents of Entertainment, Showtime Networks Inc.

Paramount Network today ordered a 10-episode first season of Sexy Beast, a series adaptation from Paramount Television and Anonymous Content based on the critically-acclaimed and award-winning feature film. Michael Caleo (The Sopranos) is set to write and executive produce the series. Karyn Kusama (Destroyer) is directing and executive producing through her company, Familystyle, which is also comprised of Matt Manfredi and Phil Hay (Destroyer), who will also serve as executive producers on the show. Also serving as executive producers are Louis Mellis and David Scinto, the original screenwriters of the film Sexy Beast.
