Annapolis Symphony Orchestra Announces Sold Out Opening Night

The Annapolis Symphony Orchestra (ASO) will kick off its 2016-17 season in grand style with its annual Opening Night Celebration at Maryland Hall for the Creative Arts on September 30 and October 1, 2016. The three-part celebration, which sold out on Monday September 12, includes a pre-concert cocktail reception, a symphony concert, and a post-concert champagne and dessert celebration where guests will mingle with the maestro, soloist, and musicians.

Michael Reidel reports in the New York Post this morning that Bloody Bloody Andrew Jackson star Benjamin Walker will be back in the New York theater loop when he leads a reading of Bus Stop next month as cowboy Bo Decker. Amanda Seyfried will co-star alongside Walker as Cherie. Shuler Hensley will also participate. Hollywood's Paula Wagner, who owns the rights to the project will produce. Scott Ellis directs. A revival of Bus Stop is reportedly bound for Broadway.

The Movie lead Amanda Seyfried will star in Myriad Pictures' adaptation of Oscar Wilde's comedy A Woman of No Importance opposite Annette Bening and Sean Bean. Seyfried will play an American who finds herself falling in love with the womanizing Lord Illingworth (Bean) in the English countryside until his mother (Bening) throws a wrench in his plans. Donald Zuckerman will produce and Bruce Beresford will be directing from a script by Howard Himelstein.
