Full Casting Set for PLAYWRIGHTS FOR A CAUSE at NYTW This Weekend

Final casting has been set for the 2015 Planet Connections Theatre Festivity's Playwrights For A Cause, set to take place at 7:30pm on Sunday, June 14, 2015 at New York Theatre Workshop, 79 East 4th Street, on Sunday, June 14 at 7:30 pm. The evening, which will benefit the non-profit National Coalition Against Censorship, will showcase world premiere one-act plays by three acclaimed playwrights: Israel Horovitz's Breaking Phillip Glass and Erik Ehn's Her Speech, both directed by Planet Connections Theatre Festivity founder and PFAC Producing Artistic Curator Glory Kadigan, and Halley Feiffer's A Play About New Mexico, directed by Gaye Taylor Upchurch.

11th Alliance/Kendeda Competition Winner to Premiere in February

The Alliance/Kendeda National Graduate Playwriting Competition continues to spotlight the best emerging playwrights with a full production for the competition winner and staged readings for four competition finalists. THE C.A. Lyons Project, the 11th competition winner, will premiere on the Hertz Stage February 13 - March 8, 2015. Opening night is February 18, 2015.

MURDER BALLAD, BAD JEWS & More Set for Actor's Express' 2014-15 Season

Actor's Express, Atlanta's cutting-edge theatre located in West Midtown, has announced its 27th season of gripping programming. Next season's lineup is full of compelling theatre, as Actor's Express is famous for delivering. The season is a mix of classic and contemporary work, and innovative and fresh new voices. The slate: Les Liaisons Dangereuses, Murder Ballad, Bad Jews, Marcus; or the Secret of Sweet, and The Whale. The company will also produce The Rocky Horror Show this summer, marking the return of summer programming to the Express.

Pacamambo, premiered in French in Montreal in 2000. Conceived as a play for children about death, it is a life-affirming and magical theatre experience for audiences of all ages. It tells the story of Julie, a young girl teetering between denial and rage, who disappeared for 23 days until discovered in her grandmother's apartment basement storage locker with her dog, Growl, and the badly decomposing body of her grandmother.

CRACKED AND KING Season 2 to Premiere 1/6 on Reelz

ReelzChannel today announced the second seasons of crime drama series Cracked and King will premiere on Monday, January 6, 2014. Cracked, airing Mondays at 11pm ET/ 8pm PT, features Dr. Clara Malone (Brooke Nevin, Chicago Fire) in a unique blend of a police and medical drama inspired by the real-life experiences of police officers and mental health professionals. King, airing Mondays at 12am ET/ 9pm PT, features Detective Jessica King (Amy Price-Francis, The Cleaner) as a charismatic but unconventional cop whose unique eye for detail turns cases around.
