Leading lady Kara Tointon was in Birmingham yesterday to launch a brand new production of one of the greatest thrillers of all time, Gaslight.

A host of West End Stars gather at the iconic St. Pauls Church, Covent Garden, the location of Eliza Doolittle and Henry Higgins' memorable first encounter, to celebrate the 60th Anniversary of the original Broadway production of one of the greatest musicals ever written, My Fair Lady.

ITV is putting on its own live version of Rodgers and Hammerstein's THE SOUND OF MUSIC this Christmas. As BroadwayWorld previously reported, the December 20 live telecast will star Julian Ovenden as 'Captain Von Trapp', Olivier winner Maria Friedman as Mother Abbess, Mel Giedroyc as Frau Schmidt, and Kara Tointon as Maria.
