Andrew Lloyd Webber's smash hit School of Rock - The Musical, now in its third year on Broadway, announced today that the show celebrates its 1,000th Broadway performance on Saturday, April 28, 2018, with the release of photos from the show's recent alumni reunion at the Winter Garden Theatre.
Emmy and Tony-winning, Academy Award-nominated actress and animal advocate Lily Tomlin (Grace and Frankie) joins co-star June Diane Raphael (Grace and Frankie) and other comedic guests to bring the laughs to 'Wait Wait...Don't Kill Me!,' a night of unforgettable comedy and entertainment benefiting Voice For The Animals Foundation (VFTA) that will hilariously take on the year in animal news, views and other topical animal events. This annual fundraiser, hosted by actor Paul Scheer (The League), will take place today, April 27, 2018 at 8:00 p.m. at the Broad Stage Theatre in Santa Monica. All proceeds will support VFTA as they continue their fight for creating respect and empathy for animals through education, rescue, legislation and advocacy.

When it closes, it will have played 15 preview performances and 41 regular performances. Performances began Monday, March 12, 2018 for an open-ended engagement. Opening Night was Sunday evening, March 25, 2018.

Children's Theatre Company (CTC) presents the Crossing Bridges Festival, the culminating event of CTC's education program Neighborhood Bridges on May 7, 8, 15 and 16, 2018. This festival involves over 600 students in 24 classrooms from 11 elementary schools performing captivating stories that have been written and adapted solely by the students. Students choose stories from the Bridges curriculum, analyze it and then reimagine the story through their own perspective. They then create their own costumes and scenery that are unique to their interpretation of the story. The main goal is to motivate students to become the narrators of their own lives.
