Composer RYAN SCOTT OLIVER (35mm, Mrs. Sharp) will offer a talkback for audiences following the Saturday September 8 matinee performance of the multi-composer musical Hot Mess in Manhattan currently running at American Theatre of Actors. Oliver is the composer of the show's opening number, "The Mess."

Hot Mess in Manhattan: The Musical, featuring music by 12 of today's musical theatre composers, will perform a limited run August 30-September 8 at The American Theatre of Actors (314 W. 54th Street NYC) as a part of the second annual Araca Project. Check out photos of the cast in rehearsal below!

Jared Zirilli (Lysistrata Jones, Fat Camp) and DJ Bucciarelli (Jesus Christ Superstar, National Tour) will join conceiver/co-librettist Cait Doyle (San Francisco Premiere The Last 5 Years, MAC Award Winner) in The Araca Project's upcoming production of Hot Mess In Manhattan scheduled to play the American Theatre of Actors later this summer.

THEATERSPEAK will present an installation of more than 70 award-winning and emerging playwrights writing new plays in the storefront window of the Drama Book Shop during store hours, August 13th - September 1st, In each two-hour time slot, a different playwright will write their play on a laptop, while the screen shot of their computer is visible to the street, opening their process up to the passerby on the street.
