Queer|Art|Film's Fall 2019 Season Announced At IFC Center

Queer|Art, New York City's home for the creative and professional development of LGBTQ+ artists, is pleased to announce a special Fall season of Queer|Art|Film at IFC Center (323 Sixth Avenue at West 3rd St.), September 16-December 2. Organized by guest curators Vivian Crockett, Camilo Godoy, and Carlos Mottaa?"the season, titled Chicas y Fantasmas, explores the shells we inhabit to move through the world. Presented by four contemporary Latinx artists, the season assembles a fierce ensemble of showgirls, cyborgs, glam rockers, and two Chicana teens who defy gendered expectations, ableist norms, and society's limitations to actualize their own self-constructed identities and shape a vision of the world in which they want to live. A full itinerary follows. All screenings begin at 8pm.

Full Line-Up Of Artists Announced For Fringe Festival Pop-Up Cabaret Bar

The Bearded Ladies, Opera Philadelphia, and FringeArts are pleased to announce the full line-up of performers for the 'Late Night Snacks,' the one-of-a-kind pop-up cabaret bar created in partnership with Vox Populi, Hidden City Philadelphia, Passyunk Avenue Revitalization Corporation, and the Mayor's Office of LGBT Affairs The inclusive, welcoming environment will open on September 7, 2019 at a refitted industrial space at 1316 S. Percy Street, Philadelphia, and feature programming Tuesday to Sunday through September 29, 2019.

Fringe Festival Pop-Up Cabaret Bar to Feature World-Renowned Artists and Cocktails in Philadelphia

The Bearded Ladies, Philadelphia's experimental cabaret group, has teamed up with Opera Philadelphia, FringeArts, Vox Populi, Hidden City Philadelphia, Passyunk Avenue Revitalization Corporation, and the Mayor's Office of LGBT Affairs to present a one-of-a-kind pop-up bar which will feature nightly performances from some of the world's most renowned cabaret artists, along with cocktails and an inclusive, welcoming environment. Dixon Place Presents HOT! - The 28th Annual NYC Celebration Of Queer Culture

Hailed as "The best LBGTQ Theater Festival in New York" by The Village Voice, HOT! The NYC Celebration of Queer Culture returns to Dixon Place for its 27th season. The oldest festival of its kind in the world, HOT showcases over 100 artists' most daring new work in theatre, dance, music, puppetry, literature, visual arts, and homoeroticism for the whole family! Public Theater Announces Additional Casting For Free Public Forum: QUEER & NOW

The Public Theater (Artistic Director, Oskar Eustis; Executive Director, Patrick Willingham) announced additional casting today for the special, free one-night-only event, PUBLIC FORUM: QUEER & NOW, on Monday, June 17 at 8:00 p.m. at The Delacorte Theater in Central Park. In commemoration of the 50th Anniversary of the Stonewall Riots and WorldPride in New York City, Public Forum adds its voice to the chorus of LGBTQ+ artists, activists, and organizers fighting for a better tomorrow, today.

Queer|Art, New York City's home for the creative and professional development of LGBTQ+ artists, is pleased to announce the Summer 2019 season of Queer|Art|Film at IFC Center (323 Sixth Avenue at West 3rd St.), May 13-August 26. Curated by filmmakers Ira Sachs and Adam Baran, the season features films about (and starring) fierce, funny, and fabulous women, presented by a multigenerational lineup of queer drag icons, playwrights, and performance artists.

Isaac Mizrahi Returns To Café Carlyle For Three Special Performances With Ana Gasteyer, Andrew Rannells, and Justin Vivian Bond

Isaac Mizrahi returns to Cafe Carlyle for three special performances titled Isaac & on June 10, June 17, and June 24. Isaac's previous three residencies in the room were sellouts, receiving widespread critical acclaim. He'll be joined by his band of jazz musicians, led by Ben Waltzer, for an evening of eclectic tunes and charming storytelling. Each night a well-known friend will join him on stage for a few songs and banter. With a fresh stock of swag items to re-gift to audience members and a wealth of commentary on everything from prescription drugs to obsession with social media, audiences are sure to be delighted by this "founding father of Alt Cabaret," according to the New York Times.

Queer|Art, NYC's home for the creative and professional development of LGBTQ+ artists, is pleased to announce the new Mentors for the 2019-2020 program cycle of Queer|Art|Mentorship (QAM). Applications open May 12th.The Mentorship program is the cornerstone of Queer|Art's activity, providing a platform of support for LGBTQ+ artists focused on creative issues and long-term sustainability of artistic practice. Over the course of a year-long exchange, the program helps to forge new relationships between early-career and established LGBTQ+ artists and curators, bridging professional and social thresholds that often isolate artists by generation and discipline.

Queer|Art Celebrates Lower East Side History Month With Screening, Performances, and More

May is Lower East Side History Month, and Queer|Art is the new kid on the LES block, having recently relocated their offices from Nolita to the East Village this past year. Heralding their arrival to the neighborhood, they've organized four days of programming throughout May to celebrate the queer past, present, and future of their beloved new East Village home.

Nadia Quinn, Josh Sharp, Phillip Taratula Join RAVENSWOOD MANOR

Nathan Lee Graham (Zoolander, "LA to Vegas") Nadia Quinn (Bloody Bloody Andrew Jackson), Josh Sharp (Comedy Central's "The Opposition"), and Phillip Taratula ("The Outs") have joined the cast of Justin Sayre's camp-horror-soap-opera Ravenswood Manor at JOE'S PUB on Saturday, April 27 and Sunday, April 28 at 9:30 PM. After premiering at the venue last fall, Ravenswood Manor will be continued with episodes 7 thru 9 on Saturday, and episodes 10 through 12 on Sunday.
