BOLLYWOOD AND VINE: A New Musical Comedy gets Reading at The Outcast Theatre

On Today, Sept. 17 and Sunday, Sept. 18, 2016, The Outcast Theater on Whidbey Island, WA, Ned Farley, Artistic Director, will present two off-book staged readings of a new, full-length musical comedy BOLLYWOOD AND VINE by Edward Jordon (Book), Daniel Neiden (Music), and June Rachelson-Ospa (Lyrics). Musical arrangements and supervision by Charles Czarnecki; and musical preparation by Eileen Soskin. BOLLYWOOD AND VINE is a musical re-imagining of Edward Jordon's cult film of the same title.

Following a successful run in The Midtown Children's Musical Theater Festival, RAPUNZARELLA WHITE will re-open at 13th Street Repertory Theater (50 West 13th St. between 5th & 6th Ave) beginning today, January 24th and will run Saturdays at 11am and 1pm through May 9th, 2015. Written by June Rachelson-Ospa (Triangle, currently at 13th St. Rep) and Daniel Neiden (Tempest-The Musical at Cherry Lane Theater). 'IRVING BERLIN RAGTIME REVUE to Record Cast Album

ASCAP Award-winning writer/director Chip Deffaa's 'The Irving Berlin Ragtime Revue'-currently playing at the 13th Street Theater in repertory with Deffaa's long-running 'One Night with Fanny Brice'--is to receive a cast recording. The cast album will feature all of the singing actors currently appearing in the show: Rayna Hirt, Ken Adams, Michael Cyzz, Maite Uzal, Michael Kasper, Jonah Barricklo, Emily Bordonaro, Missy Dreier, K.W. Andersson; Andrew Lanctot, Ann Marie Calabro, Brandon Pollinger, and Timmy Thompson, with musical direction by Richard Danley. Deffaa will produce the album; Slau Halatyn will be the recording engineer; with production to begin later this month at Be-Sharp Studios in Astoria. The album will be released in the United States on the Original Cast Records label. It will be the sixth show of Deffaa's to get a cast album.

Award-winning cabaret, theater, and concert star Carolyn Montgomery-Forant will be a special guest at select performances of 'The Irving Berlin Ragtime Revue' at the 13th Street Repertory Theater (50 W. 13th Street, NYC). Montgomery-Forant-who has won the MAC Award, the Bistro Award, and the New York Nightlife Award--will take time out from her own concert schedule to make guest appearances in the revue at the following performances: Sunday, November 16th at 3 pm and 7 pm, and Sunday November 23rd at 3 p.m.

Rothkin & Michaels to Stage TEN TALES OF TERROR

Producers Andrew Rothkin and Jay Michaels have come together to produce a series of scary plays befitting the season. This trick or treat bag is filled with prominent artists, guest directors, and premieres. Joseph Koch of Manhattan's memorabilia haven Forbidden Planet and Brooklyn's Warehouse of Wonder (more than 1,000,000 comic books and other memorabilia) is supplying vintage giveaways and prizes. Illustrator Songe Riddle created original poster artwork for the event... 'alas poor... Yorick?'

As part of Autism Awareness Month, Cassandra Kubinski will launch her newest video 'Not So Different,' with a family friendly concert at St. John's Lutheran Church (81 Christopher St, NYC) on Sunday, April 6 at 6PM. Tickets are FREE but donations will be accepted for Autism related charities, this event's featured charity is Music For Autism (www.musicforautism.org). The evening will consist of a screening of 'Not So Different' and Q&A with the creators, followed by a short concert with singer/songwriter Cassandra Kibinski.
