Screen actress Juliette Binoche and Akdram Khan have started a new contemporary dance theater piece called In-I. The piece will have its premiere at the National Theater where it will run from September 18th through October 9th 2008 before departing on a national tour.

Anthony Minghella, who won an Academy Award for for Best Director for The English Patient and recently made a big splash in opera with his production of Madame Butterfly, died suddenly on March 18. The cause could not be immediately determined. He was 54.
New York City Center and London's Sadler's Wells Theatre will present two programs of works by award-winning dancer/choreographer Akram Khan, April 23 - 27, at New York City Center. Bill Kenwright will bring two-time Academy Award-winning actress Jessica Lange back to Broadway in a new production of the Tennessee Williams' classic, THE GLASS MENAGERIE, for a limited engagement beginning previews Thursday, February 24, at 8pm at the Ethel Barrymore Theatre (243 West 47 Street). Opening night for THE GLASS MENAGERIE, which will feature Dallas Roberts, Sarah Paulson and Josh Lucas and which will be directed by David Leveaux, is Tuesday, March 15, at 6:45pm.
