Shawn Colvin won her first Grammy Award for Best Contemporary Folk Album with her debut album, Steady On (1989). She has been a mainstay of the contemporary folk music scene ever since, releasing 12 superlative albums and establishing herself as one of America's greatest live performers. She triumphed at the 1998 Grammy Awards, winning both Record and Song of the Year for "Sunny Came Home."

Diana Ross Opened The Hollywood Bowl 2018 Season To A Full House

Summer unofficially began with the Hollywood Bowl ushering in its 2018 season during its Opening Night Concert featuring Diana Ross, Saturday, June 16, at 8 pm. The living legend with an impressive career spanning nearly six decades performed a unique set featuring her favorite and most memorable songs accompanied by the Hollywood Bowl Orchestra (HBO), led by Principal Conductor Thomas Wilkins.

BWW Feature: MY FAIR LADY Performed By the Charleston Light Opera Guild at the CHARLESTON CIVIC CENTER LITTLE THEATRE

My Fair Lady features a book and lyrics by Alan Jay Lerner with music by Frederick Loewe and tells the story of a Cockney flower girl struggling to overcome her ghastly accent in hopes of finding a better life. This iconic show will be brought to the Charleston Civic Center's Little Theatre by the talented cast and crew of the Charleston Light Opera Guild (CLOG) in late April and early May.

2018 MAC Award Nominees Announced

The Manhattan Association of Cabarets (MAC) is pleased to announce the 2018 MAC Award nominees. The nominees, in a majority of the categories, were determined by votes cast by the active MAC membership. The MAC Board of Directors selected the nominees for Show of the Year. Special committees selected the nominees in the Ensemble Instrumentalist, Piano Bar Instrumentalist, Piano Bar Singing Entertainer (Female; Male), Recording (LaMott Friedman), Major Recording, Song and Comedy/Novelty Song categories. The names of the songwriters in the Song and Comedy/Novelty Song categories are being withheld during the voting period, but will be announced publicly as soon as the voting period concludes.

MAC To Honor Sharon McNight, Ruby Rims, and James Gavin

The Manhattan Association of Cabarets (MAC) will present Tony nominee SHARON McNIGHT and RUBY RIMS with its 2018 Lifetime Achievement Awards at the 32nd Annual MAC Awards to be held Tuesday, March 27 at 7:00 pm at B.B. King Blues Club & Grill in New York City.

The Charleston Light Opera Guild is excited to announce the performances dates for The 25th Annual Putnam County Spelling Bee, a two time Tony award winning musical comedy featuring music and lyrics by William Finn with a book by Rachel Sheinkin. First produced on Broadway in 2005, this show earned six Tony nominations as well as a Grammy nomination for best musical show album.
