NBC has ushered in the 2019-20 classes of its groundbreaking scripted directing initiatives, Female Forward and theEmerging Director Program. The initiatives aim to increase representation of female and ethnically diverse directors, respectively, by creating a pipeline into scripted television. The Paley Center for Media announced today that it will host its 12th annual PaleyFest Fall TV Previews September 6-16, 2018, at the Paley Center's Beverly Hills location. 'Blackbird,' is currently being presented at the Sargent Theatre at the American Theatre of Actors. In the play written by David Harrower, Una, a 27 year old woman, shows up at the workplace of an acquaintance, 'Peter', with an axe to grind. Fifteen years earlier, they had a relationship which had ended abruptly. At the time, Peter (or as Una knows him, Ray) was 40.
