T. Schreiber Theatre, under the direction of Terry Schreiber and Peter Jensen, celebrates its 48th season with an eclectic mix of established plays and new works. The season opens with the New York revival of Stephen Adly Guirgis play The Motherf**ker with the Hat directed by Peter Jensen, which premiered on Broadway in 2011 and was nominated for 6 Tony awards. The season also includes Schreiber Shorts, an Evening Of One-Act Plays to feature 8 new works. Founder Terry Schreiber will direct the spring production, Loose Ends, the well known drama by Michael Weller. The season will culminate with the New Works Project, directed by Jake Turner, which will showcase a workshop production of one full length play. The season will be produced in full by Halle Morse, T. Schreiber's recently appointed Producing Director.

THE PHANTOM OF THE OPERA I just experienced at the Kennedy Center renewed my faith in the show: it is a delight for all the senses, possesses dazzling stagecraft, and is performed by a cast that mines the romance, danger, and intrigue from the story and score. I declare this production a dream come true. Chris Mann, formerly a contestant on THE VOICE headlines the show in the title role, performing with mystery and power. His Christine on the night I attended, Kaitlyn Davis, was stunning, as well.
Cameron Mackintosh's spectacular new production of Andrew Lloyd Webber's THE PHANTOM OF THE OPERA announces the return of Julia Udine to the national tour. Ms. Udine will resume performances as 'Christine Daae,' the role which she created for the national tour and most recently starred as on Broadway, for the Washington DC engagement at the Kennedy Center July 13-August 20 and the Denver engagement at Buell Hall August 25-September 11. Katie Travis will return to the role in the fall.
T. Schreiber Theatre of Chelsea Manhattan has announced dates for the final production of their 46th season, 'Hysterical', by Jim Geoghan. Written by the EMMY-nominated Executive Producer for The Disney Channel's The Suite Life of Zack and Cody, 'Hysterical' was chosen out of nearly 100 full-length plays as T. Schreiber's 2016 New Works Project. The play will receive a workshop production with 8 performances July 13-23, 2016, with free stand-up comedy preceding the following dates: July 15, 16, 22, & 23.

Producers Cameron Mackintosh and The Really Useful Group announced today principal cast changes for the Broadway production of Andrew Lloyd Webber's THE PHANTOM OF THE OPERA, directed by Harold Prince. The longest-running show in Broadway history, and one of the most successful stage productions of all-time, the musical will welcome three actors to principal roles beginning Monday, June 13.
