The producers of IRVING BERLIN'S WHITE CHRISTMAS have announced full casting for the North American Tour of IRVING BERLIN'S WHITE CHRISTMAS.

This holiday season's weather report forecasts SNOW! Start with a timeless tale of joy and goodwill, fill it with classic Irving Berlin songs, and top it off with glorious dancing and you have Irving Berlin's White Christmas, coming to the Carpenter Performing Arts Center December 1-10! IRVING BERLIN'S WHITE CHRISTMAS, the stage adaptation of the beloved classic film, is coming to North Texas this holiday season.

The holiday season becomes even more magical when the snow starts falling. M&M Stage Productions brings Irving Berlin's White Christmas to Mercer County Community College's (MCCC's) Kelsey Theatre for three weekends: Fridays, Nov. 17 and Dec. 1 at 8 p.m.; Saturdays, Nov. 18, Nov. 25 and Dec. 2 at 2 p.m. and 8 p.m.; and Sundays, Nov. 19, Nov. 26, and Dec. 3 at 2 p.m. (There is no performance on Nov. 24).

Veterans Bob Wallace and Phil Davis put together a successful song-and-dance act after returning home from World War II. With romance in mind, they follow a pair of beautiful singing sisters to their Christmas show at a Vermont lodge, which just happens to be owned by Bob and Phil's former army commander.

Based on the beloved, timeless film, this heartwarming musical adaptation features seventeen Irving Berlin songs and a book by David Ives and Paul Blake. Drury Lane Theatre presents the disco musical Saturday Night Fever, rewritten for the Drury Lane stage, featuring music and lyrics by The Bee Gees, based on the smash-hit Paramount/RSO Film and the story by Nik Cohn, and adapted for the stage by Robert Stigwood in collaboration with Bill Oaks.

Drury Lane Theatre announces complete casting for disco musical Saturday Night Fever, rewritten for the Drury Lane stage, featuring music and lyrics by The Bee Gees, based on the smash-hit Paramount/RSO Film and the story by Nik Cohn, and adapted for the stage by Robert Stigwood in collaboration with Bill Oaks. This North American version was written by Sean Cercone and David Abbinantiand is helmed by Tony-nominated director and choreographer Dan Knechtges. Saturday Night Fever runs January 19 - March 19, 2017 at Drury Lane Theatre, 100 Drury Lane in Oakbrook Terrace. The Press Opening is Thursday, January 26, 2017 at 8:00 p.m. A portion of the opening night tickets sales will be donated to ArtReach, a nonprofit providing access to the arts to underserved communities in the Chicago area.

SDMT will also present the World Premiere of Miracle on 34th Street: A Live Musical Radio Play directed by Colleen Kollar Smith, adapted by Lance Arthur Smith, with original music by Jon Lorenz. Miracle on 34th Street runs December 1st - 23rd at the Horton Grand Theatre, with press opening on Thursday, December 8th.

Movies to musicals and musicals to movies. It's been a regular occurrence for years, although it seems that recently it's been happening more and more. Sometimes, the transition from movie to musical, or vice versa, works perfectly and can be pulled off without a hitch. Sometimes it fails miserably. The musical version of the 1954 classic holiday movie White Christmas is neither of these things. It's not spectacular, nor is it a failure. It's uneven, at best, something that is made worse by an uneven and surprisingly disappointing production currently running at Ocean State Theatre Company.

 Broadway Palm is welcoming the holiday season with the heart-warming classic, Irving Berlin's White Christmas, playing November 24 through December 25, 2016. The 1954 film starred Bing Crosby, Danny Kaye, Rosemary Clooney and Vera Ellen.
