The Honourable Jim Prentice, Canada's Environment Minister and the Minister responsible for Parks Canada announced yesterday that the Manitoba Theatre Centre has been designated a National Historic Site of Canada.

Intiman will offer a pay-what-you-can performance (with a $5 suggested minimum per ticket) on Friday, May 22 at 8 pm. This production is recommended for ages 12 and up.

A Contemporary Theatre announces adjustments and additions to its 45th Anniversary Season. Rounding out the six-play Mainstage season is the corporate comedy Below the Belt (May 22-June 21, previously listed as TBA), starring acclaimed film and television actor Judd Hirsch. On November 15th the Catskills come to Brooklyn as NACL Theatre (North American Cultural Laboratory, www.nacl.org) hosts the BORSCHT BASH, a party to benefit the theatre and its NYC premiere of 'THE UNCANNY APPEARANCE OF SHERLOCK HOLMES' this December at HERE Arts Center in Soho. The official opening will be Monday, October 20th. This 20th Anniversary production of BOYS' LIFE will feature Jason Biggs, Rhys Coiro, and Peter Scanavino as 'the boys' as well as Dan Colman, Michelle Federer, Betty Gilpin, Paloma Guzman, Laura-Leigh, and Stephanie March.
