The CBS Television Network today announced the series premiere of SUPERIOR DONUTS, starring Judd Hirsch and Jermaine Fowler, will debut with a special preview on Thursday, Feb.

Broadway's Future Songbook Series - presented by Arts and Artists of Tomorrow continues its twenty-sixth season on Monday, October 31st in the Bruno Walter Auditorium at the New York Public Library for the Performing Arts at Lincoln Center located at 111 Amsterdam Avenue and 65th Street.  

Four acclaimed Broadway actors will spend the last week of October in Arlington, Vt., rehearsing Perfect Picture (a musical about the life of Norman Rockwell) just a few miles from the artist's former home - in preparation for a staged concert at Lincoln Center's Bruno Walter Auditorium on October 31.

According to deadline.com, Veteran actor Judd Hirsch has been tapped as the co-lead opposite Jermaine Fowler in CBS' multi-camera comedy pilot Superior Donuts. After the end of this past pilot season, where Superior Donuts was in serious consideration for a series pickup with the network very high on Fowler, CBS ordered a new pilot for the project, recasting one of the two leads.

Berkshire Theatre Group and Artistic Director/CEO, Kate Maguire welcomes the World Premiere of The Stone Witch, featuring Tony, Golden Globe, Emmy and Obie Award-winning Judd Hirsch. Written by Pen/USA Award-winning playwright Shem Bitterman (Harm's Way, Open House, Influence; Film: Whitney, The Job) and directed by Drama Desk and Humanities Award-winning director Steve Zuckerman (Broadway: Nuts; TV: Everybody Loves Raymond; Film: Israel Horovitz's North Shore Fish), this production is produced in association with Darlene Kaplan Entertainment and Brierpatch Productions. The Stone Witch runs from July 21 through August 20, at The Fitzpatrick Main Stage in Stockbridge, MA.

Sony Classical proudly announces the release of Independence Day: Resurgence Original Motion Picture Soundtrack, featuring music by Thomas Wander and Harald Kloser. The soundtrack will be available digitally on June 17 and on CD July 1. Independence Day: Resurgence will arrive in theatres nationwide on Friday, June 24. Directed by Roland Emmerich, the film stars Liam Hemsworth, Jeff Goldblum, Bill Pullman, Maika Monroe, Travis Tope, William Fichtner, Charlotte Gainsbourg, Judd Hirsch, Jessie Usher, Brent Spiner and Vivica A. Fox.

The Riant Theatre (Van Dirk Fisher, Artistic Director), a nonprofit theatre supporting playwrights and theatremakers of diverse cultural backgrounds, is holding the Launch Party for its annual Strawberry One-Act and Theatre Festival on Saturday, June 25, 2016, 3pm at the Poet's Den Theatre (309 East 108th Street, NYC). The all-new season of IFC's original comedy series MARON picks up where the season three cliffhanger left off, with comedian and pioneer podcaster Marc Maron's fictional alter ego falling off the wagon and quickly descending the ladder of success.

It was announced today by The Theatre World Awards Board of Directors, and The Dorothy Loudon Foundation, Broadway newcomer Nicholas Barasch, currently appearing in the Broadway revival of She Loves Me at Studio 54, will be honored with the 8th Annual Dorothy Loudon Award at the 72nd Annual Theatre World Awards Ceremony set for Monday evening, May 23, 2016 beginning at 7:00 p.m. at Circle in the Square Theatre (West 50th Street, between Broadway and 8th Avenue), home of the current 2015 Tony Award-winning Best Musical, Fun Home.  The 2016 Theatre World winners will be announced shortly.
