A brand-new arena production of Andrew Lloyd Webber & Tim Rice's EVITA the Musical is coming to Australia soon!

Algonquin Arts Theatre has announced the cast and creative team for its spring production of Rodgers and Hammerstein’s Cinderella. The musical will run at Algonquin Arts Theatre from Friday, April 1 through Sunday, April 10.

This summer, the Emelin Theatre will collaborate with the Village of Mamaroneck and take to the outdoor stage at Harbor Island Park in Mamaroneck. 

Open-Door Playhouse will present the audio play of Replacement Player, written by Scott P. Seibert of the Marion Correctional Institute in Ohio, adapted for audio by Daniel Lambert, directed by Gary Lamb, and presented as part of Open-Door Playhouse’s Prison Plays series.

Shortly before her death in 1952 at the age of 33, Eva Peron was bestowed with the title “Spiritual Leader of The Nation” by the Argentine Congress.

Bay Street Theater & Sag Harbor Center for the Arts is pleased to announce that Richard Kind will host this year's 29th Annual Summer Gala, A Starry Night, which will be streamed online on baystreet.org and other live stream platforms on Wednesday, July 22, at 8 p.m., with a red carpet preshow beginning at 7:30 p.m.

Casting has been announced and tickets are now on sale for Starring Buffalo's EVITA, April 3-4 at Shea's 710 Theater. Tony Award-Winner Lena Hall (Hedwig and the Angry Inch, Kinky Boots) will play Eva, joining the previously announced Robi Hager (Spring Awakening, Bye Bye Birdie) as Che, Nicholas Rodriguez (Tarzan, The Sound of Music) as Juan Peron, Darryl Semira (Mamma Mia, Bombay Dreams) as Magaldi and Leah Berst (MusicalFare's Bright Star) as The Mistress. The ensemble features many of Buffalo's best, including Karen Grace Harty, Matthew Iwanski - Jackson, Katy Miner, Ben Michael Moran, Matthew Rivera, Raphael Santos and Alexandria Watts, as well as nearly 100 other Western New York singers, dancers, and musicians.

Marilyn A. Wick, managing executive producer presented Andrew Lloyd Webber ( (music) & Tim Rice (lyrics) EVITA at The Wick Theatre last night and BroadwayWorld was there for the opening night.

The Wick Theatre in Boca Raton will present their fan favorite pick of the year, Evita. The production features Broadway star Sean McDermott and American's Got Talent sensation and Miami resident Daniella Mass in the iconic musical. The astonishing Andrew Lloyd Webber and Tim Rice mega-hit won multiple Tony Awards including Best Musical 1980 and Best Revival 2012. The Wick Theatre's production runs January 16 through February 23, with 2pm matinee and 7:30pm evening performances. Colin Salmon, star of the James Bond film series, Netflix's Master of None and Syfy's Krypton, has been confirmed to join the cast of the Howard Zinn biopic, The Time Of Our Lies. Guest starring for one night on 2 August, Colin will play the lead role as the American historian, author and social activist, Howard Zinn. Daniel Benzali will star as Howard Zinn for the remainder of the run. With Trang Le and Jessye Romeo also joining the ensemble, The Time Of Our Lies is written by Bianca Bagatourian and directed by Che Walker, with movement by Maureen Fleming.
