Berklee President Roger H. Brown will present Rita Moreno, Ronald and Ernie Isley, Lucian Grainge, and Milton Nascimento with honorary doctor of music degrees at Berklee's commencement ceremony, Saturday, May 7, at the 7,000-seat Agganis Arena at Boston University. Moreno, this year's commencement speaker, will address more than 900 Berklee graduates and their parents and invited guests.

Madison Square Garden Entertainment (MSGE) welcomes six highly-anticipated Latin artists to New York City this summer. Emmanuel y Mijares; El Reencuentro; Marco Antonio Solis; Juanes; Chayanne and Juan Luis Guerra will appear at three venues including Madison Square Garden, The Theater at Madison Square Garden and the Beacon Theatre. From May through September, fans will be able to enjoy meringue, Latin Rock, cumbia and everything in between at some of the most celebrated venues in New York City. Each of these artists represents the best that Latin music has to offer and each is set to turn up the heat in New York City this summer!

Silviana Itzel Salinas-Reyna a 23-year-old tenor saxophone student from Mexico City, is the recipient of the Enrique Iglesias Scholarship presented by The Latin GRAMMY Cultural Foundation, it was announced today at a special presentation at The Ritz-Carlton South Beach in Miami FL. Salinas-Reyna was chosen by the Foundation's Scholarship Committee, which evaluated a highly competitive pool of applicants and unanimously decided to grant her the $200,000 scholarship to further her music education at the prestigious Berklee College of Music in Boston.

Telemundo's “Yo Soy El Artista” (I Am the Artist) concluded the audition rounds last night with the selection of 27 new participants who won over the 100 digital and social media influencers, the celebrity judges, and host Lucero. A total of 53 contestants will face-off to be admitted into the “Escuela de Artistas” (Artist's School) next Sunday, October 5 at 8pm/7c. Viewers will witness the elimination of contestants during this decisive episode that takes place at an impressive hangar, which will become the stage of singing, dancing and performance challenges. In the end, only 14 will be admitted to the school to kick off the Galas, the final phase of the competition, until a winner of “Yo Soy el Artista” is chosen in the grand finale.

According to Nielsen Social, 'Yo Soy el Artista' was the #1 most-buzzed-about series across all broadcast and cable networks, regardless of language, in terms of Tweets per unique author, outperforming Univision's 'Va Por Ti' and CBS's 'Big Brother.' Globally, the premiere delivered close to 1.8 million page views and 241,000 video streams and was a 'trending topic' in Mexico, Venezuela, Colombia and the Dominican Republic.

Renowned tenor and international conductor Placido Domingo was awarded an honorary doctor of music degree by Berklee College of Music at its campus in Valencia, Spain on Friday. The event took place at the Teatro Martin i Soler of the Palau de les Arts and was attended by local government officials and dignitaries and Berklee's Valencia campus leadership.
