Israeli Stage Announces Seventh Season

Israeli Stage, sharing the diversity and vitality of Israeli culture through theatre, is proud to announce Season 7! The season will feature two plays presented as Staged Reading in Fall 2016, Olivier Award Nominee Joshua Sobol: In Residence at Israeli Stage in March/April of 2017 and Israeli Stage's Third Full Theatrical Production, Days of Atonement by former Playwright-in-Residence Hanna Azoulay-Hasfari. Dialogue Reflections led by local thinkers, authors and artist will follow all performances.

FRIGID New York @ Horse Trade will present a limited engagement of the NYC premiere of Recollection of Innocence written and directed by Guy Kapulnik, tonight, May 28-June 6 at UNDER St. Marks (94 St. Marks Place between 1st Avenue and Avenue A) with performances Thursday through Saturday at 8pm.

FRIGID New York @ Horse Trade will present a limited engagement of the NYC premiere of Recollection of Innocence written and directed by Guy Kapulnik, May 28-June 6 at UNDER St. Marks (94 St. Marks Place between 1st Avenue and Avenue A) with performances Thursday through Saturday at 8pm. The production will feature James H. Best, Guy Kapulnik, and Sandra Glinka with Producer Sivan Hadari and Show Image by Lorraine D. Glover. Tickets ($18) may be purchased in advance atwww.horseTRADE.info. The performance runs 60 minutes, with no intermission.

The Old Globe to Stage Reading of THE REVISIONIST for Holocaust Remembrance Day

On April 13, 2015, arts-related organizations across the country will unite to honor victims of the Holocaust by joining in the first ever Remembrance Readings for Holocaust Remembrance Day (Yom HaShoah). This event was conceived and launched by the National Jewish Theater Foundation (NJTF) and draws on information from over 600 plays made accessible in their newly created Holocaust Theater Catalog (HTC).

David Lan to Lead Performing Arts Center at the World Trade Center as Artistic Director; Sexton, Hayles & Daldry Join Team

The Performing Arts Center at the World Trade Center ('the PAC') today announces the establishment of a core team of artistic leaders: David Lan (Artistic Director of London's Young Vic) as Consulting Artistic Director; Lucy Sexton (artist, producer, and Director of the New York Dance & Performance Awards (aka The Bessies)) as Associate Artistic Director; and Andy Hayles, Managing Partner of Charcoalblue (London's National Theatre, Chicago's Steppenwolf Theatre, and the future home of Brooklyn's St. Ann's Warehouse), as theater design consultant. Stephen Daldry (director of the films The Hours, Billy Elliot, The Reader and Extremely Loud and Incredibly Close, and of Billy Elliot the Musical, and former Artistic Director of London's Gate Theatre and Royal Court Theatre) has joined the PAC's Board of Directors. The artistic team is collaborating with the PAC's staff, board and numerous consultants to create a place that is unique on the cultural landscapes of New York, the United States and the world.

Our Country's Good to Play at The Carousel Theatre October 3-20

Our Country's Good by Timberlake Wertenbaker will play in the Clarence Brown Theatre's Carousel Theatre October 3-20, 2014. Based on real events, this award-winning drama is an evocative look at a moment in history - the founding of a nation -and an inspiring tale about the transforming power of theatre. The production is sponsored by the Clayton Foundation. It contains brief nudity and strong language. A staged reading of The Recruiting Officer immediately following the Friday, October 11 performance and a talk back with the director, dramaturg and cast immediately following the Sunday, October 13 matinee also are associated with this production.

Rattlestick Playwrights Theater Artistic Director David Van Asselt and Managing Director Brian Long have announced the cast and creative team for the world premiere of Through the Yellow Hour, a play written and directed by Adam Rapp (Pulitzer Prize finalist for Red Light Winter). The first production of the company's 18th season, Through the Yellow Hour will begin performances tonight, September 13, 2012 at Rattlestick Theater (224 Waverly Place-off Seventh Avenue South, between Perry and West 11th Streets). The cast includes Hani Furstenberg, Brian Mendes, Matt Pilieci, Danielle Slavick, Alok Tewari, Joanne Tucker, and Vladimir Versailles.

THE ILLUSION & GHETTO Open May Performances At Northwestern University

The Theatre and Interpretation Center at Northwestern University will continue its 2008-09 season in May with the two remaining Mainstage productions: an adaptation of a Pierre Corneille classic, and a Holocaust drama by Israeli playwright and director Joshua Sobol. It also will present a Wallis Works-In-Progress adaptation of a story by Zimbabwean doctor and celebrated writer J. Nozipo Maraire.

Northwestern's Season to Include Two Tony Winning Musicals
