The Peace Center announces Peace Voices Songwriters, a new extension of the Peace Voices program. Spearheaded by Greenville's Edwin McCain and songwriter Maia Sharp, the program features a concert series with guest singer-songwriters. It also offers a workshop series for aspiring songwriters, which will culminate in a recorded song.

The Grand Ole Opry®, the show that made country music famous, will stage its first-ever show from the famed Bonnaroo Music & Arts Festival in Manchester, TN on Sun., June 10 featuring Opry members Bobby Bare, Del McCoury Band, Old Crow Medicine Show, and Riders In The Skyas well as Brothers Osborne, LANCO, Nikki Lane, Lucie Silvas, and more. A rare fiddle that received national attention when it was mistakenly donated to a Goodwill store in Kansas City, will soon go on display at the Mountain Music Museum in Kingsport, Tennessee. The museum features artifacts that chronicle the history of regional music.
