Live For Live Music's The Funk Sessions is headed to New Orleans! The monthly residency, which typically takes place at Cervantes' Other Side in Denver, CO, will make its way to Frenchmen Street for a special edition of the event during the daze between Jazz Fest weekends. This version of The Funk Sessions will feature members of Turkuaz, Dumpstaphunk, The Motet, Thievery Corporation, and Electric Beethoven, and will take place at The Maison on Tuesday, April 30th. Up-and-coming local favorites The Iceman Special will open up the night.

Pulse Films and Paramount Television have announced today a deal to option the rights to journalist Dan Hancox's acclaimed non-fiction book Inner City Pressure for Television. The project is set to be produced by Pulse Films' Thomas Benski, Lucas Ochoa and Sam Bridger. HarperCollins published the book in May of this year.
