The Actors Training Center will present the Los Angeles Film Intensive Workshop with Casting Director Deborah Dionon Thursday, June 13 through Saturday, June 15 at The Wilmette Theatre, 1122 Central Ave. Dion has worked with acclaimed directors Tim Burton ("Charlie and the Chocolate Factory" and 'Alice in Wonderland'), PJ Hogan ("Peter Pan," "Unconditional Love"), Lasse Hallstrom ("Cider House Rules," "Chocolat," "The Shipping News," "An Unfinished Life"), John Madden ("Shakespeare in Love"), and M. Night Shyamalan ("The Last Airbender," "The Happening," "Lady in the Water"). She has devised an efficient and focused three-day seminar for the actor ready to take their on-camera audition and acting skills to a new level. Dion's exclusive film intensive program expects each actor to prepare as thoroughly as a working professional actor with assigned film scripts.

The Tribeca Film Festival (TFF), presented by founding partner American Express, today announced its jurors - a diverse group of 42 industry leaders, including award-winning filmmakers, writers, producers, acclaimed actors, respected journalists and entrepreneurs. The jury will be divided among the seven competitive Festival categories. The winning films, filmmakers and actors in each category will be announced at the TFF Awards Night ceremony, streamed live on TribecaFilm.com on April 25. The 2013 Festival runs from April 17 -28.

Trinity Repertory Company announced today that three local Rhode Island residents will be receiving Pell Awards this year in addition to Kate Burton, who had previously been announced as the recipient of the 2013 Pell Award for Lifetime Achievement in the Arts. The 17th annual Pell Awards will be held on Monday, June 10, 2013 at Trinity Rep with a reception to follow next door at the Providence Public Library.

Classic Stage Company, under the leadership of Artistic Director Brian Kulick and Executive Director Greg Reiner, announced today that they will kick off their 2013/2014 season with a new production of Shakespeare's Romeo & Juliet next fall starring rising actress Elizabeth Olsen. Trinity Repertory Company announced today that celebrated stage and screen actor Kate Burton will be honored with the 2013 Pell Award for Lifetime Achievement in the Arts at the 17th annual Pell Awards to be held on Monday, June 10, 2013 at Trinity Rep. The annual fundraising event will be co-chaired by Joe & Michele Madden and Elizabeth 'Beppie' Huidekoper. Mrs. Nuala Pell will serve as the event's honorary chair.
