The Actors Training Center will present the Los Angeles Film Intensive Workshop with Casting Director Deborah Dionon Thursday, June 13 through Saturday, June 15 at The Wilmette Theatre, 1122 Central Ave. Dion has worked with acclaimed directors Tim Burton ("Charlie and the Chocolate Factory" and "Alice in Wonderland"), PJ Hogan ("Peter Pan," "Unconditional Love"), Lasse Hallstrom ("Cider House Rules," "Chocolat," "The Shipping News," "An Unfinished Life"), John Madden ("Shakespeare in Love"), and M. Night Shyamalan ("The Last Airbender," "The Happening," "Lady in the Water"). She has devised an efficient and focused three-day seminar for the actor ready to take their on-camera audition and acting skills to a new level. Dion's exclusive film intensive program expects each actor to prepare as thoroughly as a working professional actor with assigned film scripts.

An L.A. casting veteran, Deborah Dion is currently casting "Quitters" directed by Noah Pritzer, and Plan B's "True Story," directed by Rupert Goold. She also recently worked on casting for "After Earth," directed by M. Night Shyamalan and starring Will Smith, which comes out this summer. She has casted child actors in Wes Anderson's "The Grand Budapest Hotel," "Infinitely Polar Bear" starring Zoe Saldana and Mark Ruffalo, and Josh Radnor's "Liberal Arts" which was a Sundance favorite last year.

The not-for-profit Wilmette Theatre is the premiere multi-arts and performance center anchoring the downtown Wilmette business district by providing vibrant entertainment, education and enrichment for the community.

The Actors Training Center Repertory Company's mission is to provide an educational integration of cultural, historical and social issues through live theater. The Actors Training Center at the Wilmette Theatre offers professional, process-driven classes for actors from Kindergarten through 12th grade as well as adults. K-12 students at The Actors Training Center at the Wilmette Theatre are able to take classes to develop skills in dramatic acting, improv and sketch comedy, physical theater and musical theater. Adult classes include Actor's Essentials, Adult Improv, On-Camera Technique and more. Scholarships are available.

The workshop schedule is as follows: Thursday, June 13 and Friday, June 14 for students in second through fifth grade from 9:00 a.m. to 1:00 p.m. and students in sixth through eighth grade from 2:00 p.m. through 6:00 p.m. Both workshops are $525. The workshop on Saturday, June 15 costs $375 and is for adults ages 17 and up from 9:00 a.m. to 1:00 p.m. and students grades ninth through twelfth from 2:00 p.m. to 6:00 p.m. Reservations can be made by calling the Actor's Training Center at 847.251.8710.
