Wright State University Theatre brings you the marvelous adaptation by David Ives of Pierre Corneille's riotous comedy, THE LIAR, which runs November 30th  - December 9th  in the Herbst Theatre.

Shakespeare & Company presents Shakespeare's Cymbeline, directed by Founding Artistic Director Tina Packer. This tale of love and passion, produced for the first time on the Company's Mainstage, runs in the Tina Packer Playhouse now through August 6, 2017. The production also marks a personal milestone for Packer, who, after opening her production of Cymbeline, will have directed all 37 plays in the Shakespeare canon. The 2015-2016 season for Connecticut Repertory Theatre will begin with a production of The Laramie Project, helmed by CRT's artistic director, Vincent J. Cardinal. The Laramie Project focuses on the aftermath of the murder of Matthew Shepard, an openly gay college student, in Laramie, Wyoming. A collaborative effort amongst members of The Tectonic Theatre Project, spearheaded by Moises Kaufman, the play explores the reactions of a small town when faced with a gruesome event that triggered worldwide media attention. Performances of The Laramie Project begin on October 8 and continue through October 18, 2015 at Connecticut Repertory Theatre's Nafe Katter Theatre. Shakespeare & Company has finalized casting for its 38th performance season, and released a complete schedule of Opening Night dates. The announcement was made this week by Interim Artistic Directors Ariel Bock and Jonathan Croy, along with a positive report from Interim Managing Director Stephen D. Ball on the Company's box office successes to date. Shakespeare & Company's season opens on May 22 with The How and The Why, by Sarah Treem.

WAM Theatre has announced the cast for a reading of Waxworks by Trina Davies, the final reading in the Fresh Takes Play Reading Series. An exploration of the tales we are told and the heroes and villains we create, Waxworks tells the story of Madame Tussaud, an extraordinary artist who developed the first worldwide entertainment brand. WAM Theatre will present the reading on Sunday, September 21 at 3:00 p.m. at No. Six Depot Roastery and Cafe, 6 Depot Street in West Stockbridge, MA. Waxworks is the fifth and final presentation in the new Fresh Takes play reading series, which offers new and reimagined works that tell women's stories. The series has proven popular with audiences, selling out its first four readings.
