As I write this, I am sitting outside in a rocking chair (how Berkshires of me, I know), sucking on a Manuka honey lozenge (my dressing-room-mate, Alex Gibson turned me on to them...he's so fancy) and sipping on a nice glass of water. That is how long of a week it's been! So long that I'm drinking water instead of whiskey and about to make myself an Epsom salt bath.

We arrrrre in our second week of rehearsals here in Pittsfield, MA, and as your resident Pirate/Policeman (trust me, it gets confusing for me too), it is my DUTY to keep you filled in on all of the trouble we're getting into. Did I say trouble? I mean super serious hard work.

Hard to believe, but it's been four years since we sat down with Jeremy Benton, whom we've since referred to as Broadway's Best Tap Dancer every chance we've had, and now it seems as that title has become a self-fulfilling prophecy. Just yesterday, Benton - a native of Springfield, Tennessee - was honored with a nomination for a Fred and Adele Astaire Award in the category for best off-Broadway male dancer, heralding his critically acclaimed role in Cagney, the Musical.
