Learn the creative process and get a glimpse behind the scenes of Performance Network Theatre's production of Joseph Zettelmaier's CHRISTMAS CAROL'D, an adaptation of Charles Dickens' holiday classic. The Behind the Scenes event will be held on Sunday, December 20, 2009 at 4:15pm, following the 2pm matinee performance.

Christmas Carol'd, by Joseph Zettelmaier, runs through December 27th.

This holiday season, Performance Network Theatre will be collecting donations for Toys for Tots, the charity that distributes toys as Christmas gifts to needy children in the community in which the campaign is conducted.

Through the generous support of the Target Foundation, Performance Network's production of CHRISTMAS CAROL'D will feature the Target Family Holiday Series, a program offering $40 Family Packages for Saturday matinee performances. One of the main focuses of the Target Foundation's work is to make art and culture accessible and affordable to the community. CHRISTMAS CAROL'D runs November 19 though December 27, 2009.

Performance Network Theatre presents staged readings of new plays from local playwrights at the Fireside Festival of New Works Sunday, September 27 Wednesday, September 30 at 8 pm.

Mid-Michigan's newest professional theatre company, the Williamston Theatre, 122 S. Putnam in downtown Williamston, begins its fourth season this October. The 2009-2010 Season includes two World Premieres and a musical.

Launched in 2006, the Edgerton Foundation New American Play Awards have a growing track record for success, with 24 out of 46 plays living on in subsequent productions, many of which are nominated for prestigious awards. ?That?s a remarkable outcome,? said Teresa Eyring, Executive Director of Theatre Communications Group (TCG). ?Dr. Brad Edgerton and his wife Louise are clearly making a contribution to play development that has an impact on the continuing life of new plays.?

Starring Inga Wilson, (Taking Leave), John Seibert (Summer in Smoke, Fuddy Meers, A Doll's House, The Baker's Wife), Terry Heck (Language Lessons, Necessary Targets), Brian Thibault (The Baker's Wife) and Will Myers. Directed by Joseph Zettelmaier (A Streetcar Named Desire). The show opened in previews March 5 and runs through April 5, 2009.
